The only way ASU is not part of the biggest game in the Socon is if someone currenly ranked 4th to 6th beats the big two of the big three (ASU, WC, Eloan). Then things get interesting in the other games.

Agreed.

For my part the biggest game to me would be GSU/ASU in a tie with Wofford/ASU. They are the games in the SoCon that I look forward or will try to see the most anyway.
It may sound like a homer pick but I think ASU @ Wofford because where it falls on the schedule, Wofford will hopefully be coming off a Homecoming win over Georgia Southern and a bye week ready to contend for the conference title run. Second pick would be Georgia Southern @ Elon, first big (not the biggest) SOCON game IMHO.

I'm going ASU-GSU due to the sheer competitveness of the two programs when they face off.....close second is........ASU @ FU....went to the last one and we escaped barely (Lynch comes through AGAIN in the clutch)....FU's the only school that still has a winning record against us in conference and they will be up for that game in TR big time.....

PM me prior to Halloween and we'll get a tailgate happening with Ol FU, AA, etc.
Speaking of Corey Lynch he got some good face time on HBO's NFL training camp series last night. Showed him getting burned a couple of times in the preseason game but also showed his forced fumble on the goal line. Showed the coaches talking about him and so forth. They did a good little chunk on him.
I think the winner of the GSU/Elon game the fourth weekend will be App's biggest challenger to the conference title and will also have the inside track to a playoff berth.
IMO that is a HUGE game for GSU. If they are able to take their young team into Elon and win IMO that will signal "they're back."
The 2007 edition was awesome except for the final score and those damn thundersticks.
Thunder sticks are one of the stupidest things ever. If you can't make the noise without the mechanical advantage then give it up. I know your crowd could do it without those. It's like JMU's streamers.

Indeed. They do provide a nice contrast though in the student section.
Yeah, I love that picture.
We do get plenty loud without the assistance of those things. In fact, I thought they helped in decreasing crowd noise. Instead of hootin', hollerin', banging on the stands, etc., we were slapping those damn sticks together.

I'm thinking that GSU/ASU will be a big game. But Elon/ASU will also be extremely important.
I have a feeling ASU/Furman will be big for App's chances to win the conference. As competitive as the conference looks to be this year, every rivalry game will take on added importance.
