I'm pretty sure the satire is inspired by that story. It's pretty fucking ironic you're posting it.
Parents shouldn't decide the art history curriculum. If they don't want their kids to take art history - that's fine. Don't think it's a required class. But, an art history class might have depictions of a penis, or Jesus suckling from Mary's teat, or Mary not entirely enjoying motherhood. Because a lot of great art depicts these things.
It's amazing that a lot of us are more prude than the 16th century.
