This is a fight that's been coming for a couple of decades now. Putin's been showing his ass and he's long overdue for a smackdown and a reminder of who is the superpower and who is the third world country that needs to recruit for its military in prisons. Now that we've seen the pitiful performance of their excuse for a military we might as well have it out now when we have the advantage. NATO could easily roll these clowns all the way back to the Russian borders, including Crimea, just with air power supporting Ukraines troops. Right now the Russians are dying by the hundreds every day in a town of little strategic value that barely exists anymore. Pretty slick move by Ukraine, if they decide to fall back the Russians will be left with command of nothing nothing but the rubble they created out of an unimportant backwater on which they wasted tons of ammo

Nope. Not saying Russia is the world's greatest, but they've easily proven that the US and NATO couldn't prepare in eight years, for a war they fomented.

Hell, NATO and the US are out of some basic supplies as Russia kept its industrial base intact and can manufacture at the rate it is expending. The US and NATO? Not so much, or Ukraine wouldn't be out of ammo.

Russia air defense (S400 and S500) is one of the best systems out there. Foreign aircraft would get shot down readily...kinda low key how Ukraine doesn't have any airpower left. Remember when you said I was crazy saying that months ago?

On Afghanistan, it's easy to look back in hindsight and say it was a mistake but we didn't know that when the decision was made. We handled the occupation and withdrawal poorly.

Do commercial interests drive many of our decisions? Yes. That's one of the many reasons that the US is far from perfect.

You're trying to use US military interventions to justify Russia's invasion of Ukraine and failing so you're flailing about looking for other aspects of those interventions to justify it.

There is truth to my question though. What do you consider a killer? Look at Cuomo. Guy sent COVID infected into nursing homes where the population was doomed. That was cold blooded killing and freeing up of a costly medical burden.

Putin is a dead man walking - his only chance is to turn the public's attention to something else; and right now the only thing bigger than counting tens of thousands of body bags returning home from your political blunder is an attack by your biggest adversary. Now we will have Ukraine make an example of him for the Chinese.
