What Aldean sang isn't wrong. People in a small town aren't going to put up with carjacking an old lady, robbing a store, spitting on a cop or stomping on the flag, etc. While protesters opinions about social justice are valid, the opinions of people in small towns about respect and law & order is no less valid.

This appears to be more leftwing self-righteousness. It's part of their religion.

They aren't his lyrics - no fewer that four Nashville songwriters collaborated on that drivel - and they're phonier than Jason Aldean's cowboy hat.

Performance is mixed. Workers are still underpaid and it will take a few years to fully recover from the pandemic including inflation and interest rates. But the manufacturing numbers are solid and government spending is helping to pull us back up a bit. It’s not all bad news.

It doesn't get around the fact that we unnecessarily spiked government spending for the purposes of looking like we were doing something, causing interest rates to soar when they didn't have to. Inflation is always a money supply issue. It will take many years to overcome the real drop in income and buying power of the average American - most American's lost money in this screw-up and we're not anywhere near whole yet. Causing inflation to soar like we did has been and always will be the fault of mostly Biden and the Fed, with a smaller assist thrown in there by Trump. It didn't have to be this way.

And in this particular case the stimulus and the FED action came too late - adding that onto an already recovering economy only served to jack up inflation to high levels and worsen the real income of most Americans. Most are worse off today than prior to this intervention. As you said earlier, it will still take a few years just to get workers back to even after all of this. Such is the result of poor government decision making.
