Except they're not. Look at Florida where ron deconkis and the legislature have decided to take away a parent's rights to make medical decisions for their children. Those parents are adults whose rights have been stripped from them by pointy-headed bureaucrats.

Wrong. In FL the opposite has happened. Under Desantis medical decisions for minors cannot be made without parental consent. FL HB 241 passed in July 2021:
