As an SIU grad, that makes sense. Probably should have asked, "How far from St Louis"?

Typical, you’re open mindedness attitude is really only open to your own narrative

“What socialism, fascism and other ideologies of the left have in common is an assumption that some very wise people—like themselves—need to take decisions out of the hands of lesser people, like the rest of us, and impose those decisions by government fiat.”

Thomas Sowell
Open mindedness lies in considering alternate points of view. Not always agreeing with them.

The insurmountable pillars for people like Sowell are 1) failure to underestimate greed, 2) that humans are social apes, evolved to cooperate within a community, and 3). A viable form of governance that fits within their economic framework.

There are no purely socialistic economies that thrive. Similarly, the same can be said for libertarian based economies. The argument is in defining the middle between the two.

Do you know this person? Do you have any self-awareness whatsoever?

“No one can really understand the political left without understanding that they are about making themselves feel superior, however much they may talk piously about what they are going to do to help others.”

Are you admitting that you have multiple personalities and you’re just doing the Chang and Eng act on here?

Chang & Eng (kalm & Houndy) vs. Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne (SG & CH). Let's get ready to rumble!

Really need to come for a visit to see him and his family. Would love to see the area. Hang with Uncle Houndy.

We're dead center on the path of totality - for the second time in seven years. Visit your friends and bring them over for some carnitas and live music, the best mandolin player in the country lives nearby and I'd enjoy the chance to hang with somebody from cs IRL, something I regret missing out on with the Cap'n. :thumb:

I had an "if true" declaimer in my post...turns out it wasn't true.

The copium from the "Ukrainian flag in bio" brigade has been something to see. Bad things happen when you vote for warmongers who want to topple regimes abroad. At least the focus (and money) is now on the Israeli - Palestinian War and not on this quagmire anymore. Yay I guess.

BTW, who had the "reverse credit for money" foreign war money laundering scheme on their bingo card?

Then why won't you challenge yourself to at least understand what Jesus was about, even if you don't believe?

I've only been harassing you because it'd be like me telling you something about golf that was a common misconception. Telling you that if you didn't adhere to this misconception, you were a hack golfer.

I'd then proceed to roundly criticize current professionals as hacks.
Jesus’s ideas of love, humility, compassion, service to the needy, aren’t uncommon or difficult to grasp. They are human traits that come naturally to many people including children. The challenge lies in living up to them as you move through life.

They’re way more intuitive than letting your come UP with your swing or swinging with less effort to hit it further.

I’m not sure why you think the teachings are some super secret code that only Christian’s can break.

Read the Ghandi quote a few times. It’s relevant here.
Correct, but works alone don't mean anything if you don't believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus for salvation. That's where Christianity differs from all the other feel good religions in the world....

...oh and then expect the world to hate you for accepting Jesus as your savior. When the world hates you for that, then you know you're over the target. :thumb:

Day late and a dollar short for the Neocons.

A year and a half after Russia and Ukraine were forced apart at the negotiating table and minus 300k+ in able bodied young men, the Neocons now tell Ukraine to negotiate.

Gotta make sure to include Germany as the US blew up their pipeline and can't foot the bill.

What a disaster.
