I think you and I would both agree that humankind is imperfect and is prone to being prideful, selfish, greedy, ambitious, etc.

Try as you might; you can't deny that these imperfections have led to corruption in the Christian church and that the examples I listed are not exhaustive.

Now the question in a nutshell - how can you be certain that selfish, and greedy individuals haven't subverted God's word to further their ambitions?

If you can't respond intelligently to that question, please take a seat on the bench and hope that Joe can weigh in.

It's quite obvious man has tried to subvert Gods Word for their ambitions. Kenneth Copeland is a prime example. You ever see the movie, "Book of Eli"? It's a good peek into how people would try to abuse the Word.

I think you misunderstood what I was saying. Man cannot change God's gift of salvation. That's what many are doing when they say/act as if you can work your way into Heaven. Say it all you like, that isn't what God offered with salvation.
