Why should he have to liquidate (sell) a property BEFORE the appeals plays out? Say he sells a propert(s) for hundreds of millions and writes a check. If the case is eventually overturned (NY Appellate, NY Supreme, fed circuit, SCOTUS), then how does he get his property(s) back that he was wrongfully forced to sell? Is the person going to be forced to sell it back to him? Of course not.

Its a moot point because the 454 million was lowered to 175 million on appeal, and he’s paying cash.

Trump Media & Technology Group (DJT), the parent company of Donald Trump's social media platform Truth Social, sank more than 22% in midday trading on Monday following its blockbuster debut last week.

The stock drop comes on the heels of an updated regulatory filing early Monday that showed the company taking on heavy losses and facing "greater risks" associated with the former president's ties to the platform.

According to the filing, Trump Media reported sales of just over $4 million as net losses reached nearly $60 million for the full-year ending Dec. 31. The company warned it expects losses to continue amid greater profitability challenges.

Judge Merchan should be immediately sanctioned and recused, and this fake ‘case,’ only kept alive by the Highly Conflicted Judge, should be completely dismissed right away.” The post included photos of Merchan’s daughter. Rolling Stone has withheld her name as she is not involved in the case.

Trump has attacked the judge’s daughter at least three other times in the last week. The judge issued a gag order on Tuesday — hours after Trump attacked his daughter — barring the former president from discussing witnesses and others involved in the case.

I don't understand - if Judge Merchan's relationship with his daughter creates a conflict of interest how does Ginni Thomas' relationship with Clarence not also create a conflict of interest? Shouldn't he recuse himself from any case involving trump, especially election related cases?

Trying to compare a years long prison sentence to a civil fine isn’t even apples to oranges. Someone can’t fully serve a 10 or 20 year sentence in 1 or 2 year appeals process. Just like a fraction of a prison sentence (if not granted bail) would be served during the appeals process) a certain fraction of a civil fine should have to apply during the appeals process, not the entire fine. And that is what we have with the 175 million. That’s still very high (almost 40%) of the 454 million fine.
