I'm not an LEO or an attorney but I would guess that federal jurisdiction takes priority.

Feds have a reputation for throwing their weight around with locals. Is this different? Or is deconkis looking for reasons to be a butt hurt snowflake whining about perceived slights by the big, mean federal government?

I also find it hypocritical that the putz who is using state resources to attempt to intimidate voters/supporters of an abortion ballot measure and defeat that measure is complaining about government overreach. He could use a little self introspection.

Heck, I find it pretty amazing that we don't have a pretty detailed report with findings and actions from the first assassination attempt. It was fine and right that the previous Secret Service head lost her job, but to still not have a lot of details and findings for that attempt and shared with the government is concerning. We only feed the conspiracy whackos most when we can't seem to do what seems to be relatively straightforward to do. It could well be incompetence, but in the void other people start thinking weird stuff.
