For clarity, here’s how I distinguish the Trumpist from the pragmatic Trump voter.

• The Trumpist rallies behind Trump at every point and refuses to criticize him, even when it’s most imperative.
• The Trumpist swiftly delivers out-of-context responses to Trump’s opponents. To the Trumpists, context only matters when they’re defending Trump’s statements.
• The Trumpist is a sheep who allows Trump to narrate conservatism, instead of holding Trump accountable to the conservative values he was elected to advance.

Disclaimer: I voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020, and, given his nomination, I’ll vote for him come November and will sleep with a clear conscience that night with a My Pillow and my AR-15, which has its own My Pillow … okay, no it doesn’t. I speak for tens of millions of Americans when I say that his presidency gave me everything I wanted when I voted for him: A Court to overturn Roe, a religious freedom advocate, international peace (wasn’t he supposed to start WW3?), and a healthy economy.

Just noticed that Town Hall was held in Aston (really Chester Township), Delaware County, about 12 miles from where I live.

Last week Elon was at Ridley HS, about 3-4 miles from me, for a town hall. Would have gone but literally didn’t find out about it until it was scheduled to start.

Crazy how much campaign stuff going on not just PA but SE PA.

I grew up just outside of Media, went to Penncrest for high school. I still think the election comes down to who wins PA. No wonder then there would be so many events in the 4 counties around Philly (Delaware, Chester, Montgomery (where I live now), and Bucks). The race for PA, and therefore the nation, could be in those 4 counties.

The Sad, Pathetic Spectacle of John Kelly’s Critics

There is something deeply pernicious to this routine. These people want you to forget the cumulative weight of the accusations against Trump, especially when those accusations are coming from his own former employees—many of them high-ranking military officers. They’re doing so not because they don’t believe the accusations but because they know how harmful they could be.

You know how we know this? Because the claims of Kelly and others are backed up by what we’ve seen with our own eyes over the last nine years.

Are we supposed to be skeptical that Trump called soldiers “suckers” and “losers” when he said as much out loud about John McCain?

Are we supposed to be skeptical that he praised Hitler’s generals when he admires dictators, dined with white supremacist Nick Fuentes, calls people “vermin,” and talks about immigrants “poisoning the blood” of America?

Are we supposed to believe he bears no responsibility for January 6th when we all watched him summon a mob and sic it on the Capitol?

Are we supposed to believe that this is all about some personal tiff between Kelly and Trump when so many others have so many similar accounts?

That's a dozen plus how many others? Probably in the 20's or 30's. That might seem like a small number but how does it compare to previous administrations? I'd guess that the number of trump officials that oppose his reelection dwarfs that of any administration since Nixon.

Why do so many former staffers think he's unfit for office?
