“Security is not just a word. It means life, a future without sirens, without losses, without fear for our loved ones,” Andriy Yermak wrote on Telegram.

He added that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy continues to fight for those defending a just and lasting peace. Yermak also thanked those who recognize that Ukraine is more than just a point on the map.

“We are deeply grateful to the American people for their support. It brings us closer to the day when war will be just a memory,” he wrote.

European leaders pledge to stand by Ukraine in the wake of the contentious Oval Office meeting

Prime ministers, presidents and foreign ministers across the continent issued statements or took to social platform X to express their support for Zelenskyy and Ukraine.

The strongest comments so far have come from French President Emmanuel Macron, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and the foreign minister from Estonia, which borders Russia.

“The only obstacle to peace is the decision by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to continue his war of aggression,” Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said in a statement. “If Ukraine stops fighting, there will be no Ukraine. Estonia’s support for Ukraine remains unwavering. It is time for Europe to step up. We do not need to wait for something else to happen; Europe has enough resources, including Russia’s frozen assets, to enable Ukraine to continue fighting.”

Officials from Spain, Latvia, Lithuania, Germany and Poland also offered their support to Ukraine.

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister: ‘Zelenskyy has the bravery and strength to stand up for what Is right’

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha posted on X that “President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has the bravery and strength to stand up for what is right.”

“He stands up for Ukraine and the goal of a just and lasting peace. We have always been and will continue to be grateful to America for its support,” he wrote.
musk/trump/vance continue to rally Europe to stand with Ukraine and against russian aggression.
Good. They can foot the bill for an endless meatgrinder stalemate in their backyard which the US up to this point has paid far more than any other country for.

Not as a percentage of GDP. Denmark is giving way more.

Europe stepping up is not a good thing for russia or putin's ambitions.

I'm so embarrassed at America. And scared at our future.

We've had global prosperity and economic hegemony and we're throwing it away for nothing. All the friendships we built over decades and centuries, the alliances that helped us in our times of need, being undone for hatred and greed. Today was a dark moment.

Shining city upon a hill no more, just a pile of flaming trash. Fuck MAGA.

I didn‘t say as a % of GDP.
That chart shows 119.2 billion. 177 billion has been allocated. That would put the US at about 1%, 2nd to Denmark.

Also we‘ve also been subsidizing NATO countries welfare, socialized health care & tertiary education systems since the mid 20th century by paying for the bulk of their defense. Its about time they stepped up.

Alexei Navalny? :dunce: You have no idea what really happened to him. To speculate Putin put the wood to him doesn't make it true.

Secondly, Europe is too "strict"? Is that what you are calling limiting free speech and not listening to the voters while cancelling elections?
You're really going to defend/deflect for putin while criticizing European nations for limiting free speech? How much is RT paying you?
Red 5 stay on target. You implied Putin was afraid of democracy and when I point out Europe's democracy is imploding, you think I am full of it? Did I get that right?

Europe's democracy isn't imploding anymore than the USA's democracy is imploding.

Where did I imply that? kalm posted a tweet by Anton Gerashchenko that stated it. I was just highlighting the hypocrisy of a putin apologist criticizing European nations for restraining free speech.

PS. Just watched the entire exchange. Trump gave a masterclass in how to stand up for America. The track suit wearing Euro trash Zelensky’s lack of gratitude, disrespect and sense of entitlement is astounding.

That's your opinion not fact.

I found trump and vance to be classless opportunists demanding respect they hadn't earned and trying to take advantage of Ukraine in their time of need.

Jesus. Again with the bullshit line of Russia losing thousands per day. This has primarily been an artillery war. I think either Newseek or Time even ran a story talking about the advantage ratio being 8 or 9 to 1. Meaning, Russia is on the 1 side. They have been inflicting the damage. They have never been losing thousands per day.

They send the fucking drones in, get coordinates and then send a barrage of artillery. Send the drones in again to look for the last of the targets and send the artillery, followed up with troops finalizing a seriously depleted enemy.

So much for the US being more respected internationally with trump as President. That went down the toilet in a hurry.
