Not surprising you’d miss the point.

Musk has received $38 billion in subsidies over the years for Starkink and and Tesla.

These welfare queens are sinking our economy!
I flipped your point and used it against you

Everyone knows what your main point is on here .. America is bad
What leap of logic did you use to come to that conclusion?

Jumping from kalm's belief that trump is bad to infer that he thinks "America is bad" is no more logical than jumping from your belief that biden is bad to infer that you think "America is bad".

I love America. MAGA does not. That’s why they’re condoning a wholesale change to the entire system and regressing to the old ideologies of racism, patriarchy, and religion in politics.

 Your moral relativism got voted out. People are tired of your ever changing ethical stances. When you are finally done stuffing green beans up your nose at the children's table, we may consider allowing you to be with the adults.

You've proven you don't have any good points. It's why no one listen to you anymore. You had your chance and you face planted, badly. We'll call you over from the kids table if we need you.

If we went through your last 100 posts from outside of the COVID thread, what percentage would be substantive and what percentage would be juvenile insults or ham-handed attempts at bullying?

You used to be a good poster who could score points in a debate. Sadly, outside of the COVID thread, those days are past.

Oh look! Still couldn’t muster a substantive thought.

Partly true statement at best and only if the entire economy is socialistic vs. just socialist policies within a mixed economy such as ours and rest of the developed world.

This is a classic example of Sowell’s shortcomings.

Education can be an important element of giving the poor the ability create their own wealth and lift themselves up so gutting education (or worse, attempting to use it for religious indoctrination) is counter to sowell's quote.

How to post tweets:
- copy the url/link
- paste it directly into the POST A REPLY window/space
- change the X to twitter (https//x.com/... to https://twitter.com/...)

kalm easily figured this out. Can you CH?

Infrastructure is an investment. Disease control is an investment. Food safety is an investment. They are paid for with tax revenue. Starlink, Tesla, certain green energy projects, advanced weapons technology are gambles.

Many of the companies that lobby for funding of these projects pay zero in taxes.

They are takers with no personal skin in the game.

You mean those highly educated people who possess critical thinking skills, reason, and comprehension of complex subjects?

No wonder Sowell doesn’t like them.

I was being fair. She was a deep and well informed thinker. Bat shit crazy in her conclusions and remedies but certainly an intellectual. And one who informed much of modern conservative thought.
