ICE arrested a carpenter named Jesus

Next they'll get his father Joseph and mother Mary.
A devastated Pennsylvania family has spoken out demanding the release of Jesus Teran, a Venezuelan asylum-seeker who was arrested at an immigration check-in earlier this month.

“He didn’t do anything wrong,” Teran’s aunt, Yasmily Luft, told The Independent of her nephew, who was reportedly detained after a July 8 check-in at the Pittsburgh field office of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Teran fled violence in Venezuela and came to the U.S. seeking asylum in 2021, joining his family in the town of Imperial, on the outskirts of Pittsburgh.

Though he had training as a civil engineer, Teran initially lacked English skills and worked at convenience stores, DoorDash, and as a carpenter’s apprentice to provide for his wife, Liseth Carvajal, and their children, Kamila, 14, and Lukas, 5.
The Party of Family Values strikes yet again!

Jesus was denied entry in 2015, but appeared to enter via asylum processes in 2021 (I was unable to find any verifiable information or documentation indicating that Jesus entered the U.S. illegally, doesn't mean some won't turn up with more digging) and remained in compliance with ICE procedures.

I wonder if Melania has ever made a mistake on her taxes. A future administration might be able to use that to strip her of her citizenship. Unintended consequences.

U.S. citizen detained by ICE in L.A. says she wasn't given water for 24 hours
Sonny Lasquite was detained after a vacation in the Bahamas by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on July 28 at Charlotte Douglas International Airport in Charlotte, North Carolina, according to relatives who spoke with GMA News Online.

Lasquite's arrest was due to a red flag in the federal system linked to a 2012 narcotics case. ICE records reviewed by Newsweek show Lasquite currently being held at the Stewart Detention Center in Stewart County, Georgia.
...
From roughly December 2010 to about August 2012, Lasquite "intentionally and knowingly" possessed with the intent to distribute Schedule IV narcotics, including diazepam, alprazolam, zolpidem and carisoprodol, according to court records in the Southern District of New York reviewed by Newsweek.

But records indicate that he promptly took responsibility for his actions and cooperated with the federal government in identifying charged and uncharged co-conspirators. A 2014 sentencing memorandum by former U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara said that Lasquite helped stop narcotics distribution practices and led to the prosecutions of others.

"You are, as the government points out, the only defendant who cooperated," Bharara said on September 9, 2014. "You did that at some risk to yourself. I think there needs to be recognition of that and proportionate sentencing between you and the other defendants.

"I feel pretty confident that you're not going to commit any crimes in the future, and I join the government in wishing you well and hopefully being able to put this behind you."

The court ultimately sentenced Lasquite to time served and no additional prison time, ordering him to pay $200.

Lasquite has put that time of his life behind him, according to family and friends, who created a GoFundMe on Saturday to raise $30,000 for legal representation, filing fees, and "essential expenses to fight for Sonny's right to remain in the U.S. and reunite with his family."
...
"Sonny is the primary breadwinner of his family, providing both financial and emotional support to his loved ones. His income helps cover essential expenses, including his elderly mother's medical needs and daily living costs."
Definitely not the "worst of the worst".

Way to go Party of Family Values!

U.S. citizen detained by ICE in L.A. says she wasn't given water for 24 hours
Andrea Velez was in downtown Los Angeles on June 24 when she was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers. She was charged with assaulting a federal officer while he was attempting to arrest a suspect.

The Department of Justice later dismissed her case without prejudice. The agency did not immediately return a request for comment on Tuesday.

Velez said she felt someone grab her and slam her to the ground. She said she tried to tell the agent, who was in plainclothes, that she was a citizen, but he told her that she “was interfering with what he was doing, so he was going to arrest me.”

“That’s when I asked him to show me his ID, his badge number,” she said. “I asked him if he had a warrant, and he said I didn’t need to know any of that.”

A federal criminal complaint alleged that an agent was chasing after a man, and Velez stepped into the agent’s path and extended her arm “in an apparent effort to prevent him from apprehending the male subject he was chasing.”

The complaint said that Velez’s arm hit the agent in the face.

Velez said she denied any wrongdoing and insisted she was a U.S. citizen. She was taken to a detention center in downtown Los Angeles where she gave officers her driver’s license and her health insurance card, but she was still booked into jail.

She said she spent two days in the detention center, where she had nothing to drink for 24 hours.

The media wants us to care about the 5 or 10 news stories they are frantically looking for about someone not getting water.

I dont care

I care about the 21 million plus criminals that Biden let in illegally. When all of them are deported then I will care about one guy not getting a drink or a dad getting separated from his family because he broke the law.

Rogan says voters are frustrated because they expected Trump's ICE raids to nab gang members, not landscapers
Joe Rogan claimed on Wednesday that American voters are frustrated because they had hoped ICE raids would only target violent criminals, not laborers.
...
Now, weeks later, Rogan made a similar critique after Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., argued on his show that recent pop-up riots against ICE have been spurred by Chinese money in an effort to divide Americans, particularly before the midterms. Rogan responded that while that may be true to some degree, there is also some genuine belief the administration has gone too far.

"So, I absolutely believe this is true, that I'm sure other countries fund similar things, but also it was a reaction to some of the ICE raids, right?" Rogan said. "It was a visceral reaction that a lot of people had to the idea of people just showing up and pulling people out of schools and pulling people out of Home Depot and pulling people that were just hardworking people that maybe snuck over here because they didn't have a legal way to get over here, but since they've been here, they've been good people and they're a part of communities."

The podcast host added further, "That's what freaks people out, because when people thought about ICE, they thought, ‘Great, we're going to get rid of the gang members.’ They didn't think, ‘Great, you're going to get rid of the landscaper.’"

"I’m sure some of these riots are manufactured, I’m sure they are," he later added, clarifying he doesn’t disagree with Luna’s assertions entirely. He also expressed his belief that America absolutely needs to enforce its border to prevent cartel members and other criminals from entering. "But the thing that freaks people out is, like, how many corporations rely on illegal labor?" he asked.
rogan has a point and Rep luna(tic) wants to get the "China, China, China HOAX" going.

There are claims that the protesters are being paid but I haven't seen any proof. If you have it, post it. And not just unfounded, uncorroborated claims by the trump regime. Actual proof.

The artcle where they say people were paid to organize the protests. I didn't see one where they said people were paid to participate in the protests and there is a difference. If you have one of those then stop being coy and post it.

Literally the only thing our government SHOULD be doing is protecting our borders and ensuring our sovereignty and the Biden administration failed miserably at that. Probably too busy shoving fags and rainbows down everyone throats.
