Trust me, I'm fine. I'm really proud of the product the Griz put on the field every year, regardless if we win it all.UNI88 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 21, 2025 12:25 pmYou seem a little bitter. You feeling okay?SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Sun Dec 21, 2025 11:42 am

The point is the Cats fans declaring the "era of little bro" is over and yet have to keep trying to point it out is the definition of someone who can't let it go.
MSU is the better team right now, but the fans simply can't move on.

For sure, but Griz fans don't bust out into Eat shit Cats, Go Griz Go at games in which we aren't even playing. As soon as they act like they've been there before, the little bro moniker can go.UNI88 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 22, 2025 10:56 amMaybe it's mutual.SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Sun Dec 21, 2025 2:05 pm

For example. Had two guys from Montana come out to the main site. I always introduce myself and welcome anyone from Montana. I simply walked up to them, introduced myself, told them what town I was from and said, "Go Griz". They both reflexively went into the ESG GCG chant. I just shook my head.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Re: 2025 NCAA Division I FCS Playoffs
An interesting fact, the FCS championship game will be Illinois States 17th game of the season.
They got to the championship game by taking the long and winding road games ,,,,,, but still they lead me back…
They went to Hammond, Louisiana and beat southeastern Louisiana
Next to Fargo Dome where they beat North Dakota State
Headed west to Davis, California, where they defeated UC Davis
To the Philadelphia suburbs where they dominated a pretty good Villanova team
Three of their losses this year were at home and that just isn’t Normal Illinois
Championship game will be against Montana State on January 5Th
WR Promo: Daniel Sobkowicz … he’s good

Re: Championship Game
Anecdotal accounts (reporters on twitter, etc.) suggest there are way more Bobcat fans down in Nashville for this game than Redbird fans. That could be good for ISU, though, since they're 9-0 on the road this year against FCS opponents.AshevilleApp wrote: ↑Sun Jan 04, 2026 10:53 pmHow well do Montana State fans travel? Looking just now, though, it seems there's been a late surge of ISU fans. Maybe the numbers will be closer between the two fan bases?

Most of me wants to pick a Montana St to win this game, as I think over all they are the better team
But then I remember the Yale game….

It was probably 2/3 to 3/4 Bobcat fans to Bison fans last year in Frisco.AshevilleApp wrote: ↑Sun Jan 04, 2026 10:53 pmHow well do Montana State fans travel? I'm thinking that Illinois State may have some advantage in crowd support.Mvemjsunpx wrote: ↑Sun Jan 04, 2026 7:27 pm

Sounds good. I hope it's a good size crowd, no matter the mix. Winning the first NC is a great experience!Gil Dobie wrote: ↑Mon Jan 05, 2026 8:48 amIt was probably 2/3 to 3/4 Bobcat fans to Bison fans last year in Frisco.AshevilleApp wrote: ↑Sun Jan 04, 2026 10:53 pm

Montana State leads Illinois State 14-0, mid-2Q
ISU has had the ball 4 minutes longer, but they have no points to show for it.
