MEAC - Week 9 Predictions

Post by DSUrocks07 »

Now were in the stretch run of the MEAC football season. Another major threat to SC State's road to the conference title fell by the wayside as the Hornets of Delaware State upset the Bears at their Homecoming in Dover last week. But now those same Hornets travel down to Orangeburg to face the Bulldogs this week. The task is easy for SCSU, win out and the title is yours, but if the Hornets do the "impossible"...then the last three weeks will be very interesting.

In other MEAC action, the Hampton Pirates travel to the no longer winless (but still D2 bound) WSSU Rams, the struggling Wildcats of Bethune-Cookman look to get back on track against North Carolina A&T in Greensboro, and the Bison of Howard look to pick up their first conference win against the offensive-minded Spartans of Norfolk State.

MEAC game of the week: FAMU @ MSU
Florida A&M, coming off of their bounce back game against Norfolk State, will travel up to Morgan State's home field as they look to seize control of 2nd place in the conference and hope for some help from their conference mates to snake in to the AQ, but the Rattlers will need the Bulldogs to lose twice or force a three way tie with themselves and Morgan to have a chance. The Bears however still have control of their destiny as they have a chance to still win the MEAC outright with their game with SC State upcoming in two weeks.

GAMES THIS WEEK:

Howard (2-5) @ Norfolk State (3-4)
1:00pm

Bethune-Cookman (2-5) @ North Carolina A&T (5-3)
1:30pm

Delaware State (2-5) @ South Carolina State (6-1)
1:30pm

Hampton (3-4) @ Winston-Salem State (1-6)
2:00pm

Florida A&M (5-2) @ Morgan State (5-2)
4:00pm
MEAC, last one out turn off the lights.

Nope. WSSU will beat us. I don't know why, but they have had our number, going all the way back to the CIAA days.
"This struggle may be a moral one, or it may be a physical one, and it may be both moral and physical, but it must be a struggle. Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will.
... We must do this by labor, by suffering, by sacrifice, and if needs be, by our lives and the lives of others."
