The big obstacle is that Toronto reportedly wants nothing less then Clay Buchholz AND Casey Kelly, Boston is sure to not include both of them in any deal that doesn't land them Felix Hernandez, even then Kelly may not be available.

The Red Sox love for Kelly maybe even greater then they had for Jon Lester when they refused to include him in a deal for Johan Santana with one front office guy saying then that they felt Lester was ready to break out and would be atleast near Santana in talen, that front office guy nailed it then.

Some believe Boston would be better off giving John Lackey a fat contract and then using prospects to trade for a bat with Adrian Gonzalez and Miguel Cabrera toping the list.

Boston may be willing to include Jacoby Ellsbury in a deal for Gonzalez and then sign Mike Cameron or someone to that extent for a season as the CF before handing it over to Ryan Kalish who is the next top OF prospect Boston has set to come along.

Personally I dont want them to trade for a pitcher, they need a big bat, not another arm. If they feel they need an arm then get Lackey for no prospects.
