And who, pray tell, would the United States of America declare war on???

Well, I was just answering HD's question as to why.

But, I would assume the two countries we're fighting. I mean, didn't we go to war to topple the existing governments and install new ones? Sure, it's a moot point now (thanks to Congress' lack of action and leadership running up to the "wars.")

My bad...I was asking that question more to "dawg, who made the statement about "declaring war"...

The problem (with both the Bushies and Obaministas) is that this "war" was started to battle "terrorism"...so there is no country to declare war on...

It then shifted (forgetting the debacle that is Iraq for just a moment) to a war on radical islam...so, define radical...because in your and my mind, radical may be one thing...to a devout Muslim, it may be totally different...so who are we declaring war on???

Just some thoughts...

Like, "one man's terrorist is another's freedom fighter?" Yeah, I agree. Of course, I support bringing the troops home, so I am probably not the best to ask.

They never said they WOULDN'T capture...someone like this, probably good to capture, but I would guess they would have killed if they couldn't have captured.
