What are your thoughts for the opening week of FCS football? What is the Game of the Week in your opinion and why?

Well I picked the game that's up now because it's such a good FCS vs FCS game to open the season with. But I would say it could be any game.

Albany @ Maine

Those two stood out after a quick glance at the 2010 schedules.

Maybe Appalachian State @ Chattanooga :|

I did a poll every week for the last three seasons at AGS and am happy to do the same here.

Yup - opening week is the worst. A couple more Pioneer League tilts, and SWAC tilts, but these are the best I could find.

I go with Richmond vs Virginia.

2nd choice... Villanova vs Temple at Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia

In a proxy vote for currently inactive GoHens "old guard"... West Chester at Delaware... tailgates ablazin"

Richmond vs. UVA is the game of the week to me.

W&M vs. UMass is the FCS vs. FCS game of the week.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
