I was born is 1964 and have paid a staggering lump of cash into that ridiculous pipe dream

If I could drop out today with no chance of getting any SS but never to be charged again I'd do it in a minute...

Me too. End social security and keep my contributions ... and I have been making them a nearly decade longer than cleets.
Your realize that about year after the government struck the deal to end SS but keep your contributions, it would simply raise your taxes.

You're being much too kind, native.
Contributions?
Let's not be fooled. Social Security is a highly regressive tax with a horribly distributed subsidy.
So now you're a progressive? :D
You wish.

Nah, "Progressives" love Social Security a little too much for my taste. :D

Well I don't know who is in love with SS, but you appeared to be complaining about it's regressive nature from a tax standpoint. So on this issue, you clearly believe that SS taxes have undertaxed the rich. :thumb:   or

(you can admit you mis-spoke)

According to the "Progressives", the money you pay to Social Security is a "contribution".

I'll type it slowly for you, a regressive tax is a tax that takes a larger percentage from lower income people than it does from higher income people. Examples are, gas taxes, cigarette taxes, flat taxes, sales taxes, social security taxes, etc. It's not that hard to understand, is it? :?

Not sure what point you're trying to make. Do you need me to go further in depth to explain to you what a regressive tax is? Do I need to explain to you the difference between "the rich" and someone who earns a higher income (for most people $106,800 isn't a high income, much less "rich").

Let me know what you need so I can help. :thumb:

I wonder if this means that ex-Congresspersons will have to wait until they're 70 to collect?
