They need a new stadium....perdiod...not just new seats
As much as BlackFalkin talks the program up and talks other stadiums down EWU may have one of the worst stadiums in the FCS
Hey Captain Obvious, thanks for pointing that out because I was unaware. We'll get right on that. In other breaking news Indiana State sucks at football and UNIswf31 is batshit crazy.
Dont get carried away, Roos stadium isnt that bad, the home side is nice, the pressbox is good & new, theres cool endzone seating, (WHICH 95% OF YOU FVCKS DONT HAVE) and new turf, not to mention a new video board coming up. the worst thing about that stadium is the visitors side.
better than 70% of the fcs stadiums out there.

I forgot to mention, Vic Wallace mentioned the other day that according to Westfall, the $ is still coming in, with over 1.1M so far... the video board could happen this season (so they say).

And the track...

NO DOUBT ABOUT IT! WE'RE GONNA SHOUT IT! NOTHING'S HOTTER THAN A-S-U!

Thank goodness for that overflow end zone seating from the 400 seat visitor's side.

"Carpet it, and they will come."
Or in Ursus' particular case, "Red carpet, and he will cum."

No so fast my friend. This is your stadium...
I've saw high school fields that are nicer than that.
The new turf will help, even though it is Red. However, the field looks like it belongs to a D3, NAIA, or high school team.
I think could look very nice because there is seemingly a lot of flat area around there to expand on. However, right now it isn't in the top 30%

no need to get offended. as well endzone seating is unnecessary for 99% of FCS. we're just saying they need to add more seats to that side we see in the video. why is there endzone seating when they could just add on the the "visitors side"? also i am all for upgrades, im glad to see what is happening right now, its getting better. i know my school's stadium could use a bunch of upgrades. its a small stadium too that needs help. maybe ur stadium doesnt need expansion, i dont know ur attendance but i know ours comes no where near filling ours so it would look good but no need.

I've been there a lot. I'd guess 6 or 7 times at least and it looks a lot worse in pics that I've seen than when you are actually there. Sure improvements can be made and I was just saying pretty much the same thing you did here at lunch today on the subject. At least it ain't a fucking dome, so that's a good start. The temp bleachers suck but the home side, which is where I've sat every time I've been there is pretty good.
Woodward has around an 11,000 seat capacity with the temporary endzone bleachers. Average attendance is under 6,000. So visitor seating for the most part only gets used when the Griz and Cats play. That's why the turf and video are greater priorities. But it would be nice to see a permanent grandstand on the east side of the stadium in the near future.
BTW, the installation has been all over the local news of late which draws attention and hopefully more fans from Spokane. More proof it was the right thing to do.

Yeah, and they'll leave after the train wreck is over, i.e. after the first game.
Went there for the first time last year when MSU played EWU and didn't think the stadium was that bad. Yes the visitor side could be better, but overall the experience was great and will go back again! Not sure about red turf, but what the heck. The turf has done what it is supposed to do and get people talking about EWU, good or bad!
