not really FCS-related, but anyway....
Ames, Iowa, home to Iowa State University is experiencing flooding due to heavy rains overnight (and throughout the week).
Their basketball arena now has about 10' of water in it. Kind of odd to see the basketball floor floating atop the water, complete with the volleyball net standards.

For reference, here is a non-flooded picture. As you can see, the water is all the way up to those lower scoreboards.

That's just horrible. I wish the people in Ames can recover soon.
Re: Hilton Coliseum
I was watching the Jackson press conference and right at the end it sounded like someone asked him about the planned Hilton renovation. Jackson responded, that was a selling point.
We continue to talk about the south end zone, but it is possible that we might proceed with the Hilton renovation before the south end zone. Think about it. We always have success in wrestling and WBB, we have also had recent success in volleyball and most people think we have a legit shot at making the tourney next year in MBB.
At the same time, we will be lucky to make a bowl game in football and we won't be able to challenge for title for a few years. With the necessities now taken care of at JT, it seems logical that we would turn toward improving concessions and renovations at Hilton.
