Polson -
I've never heard the Tecumseh quote on your posts. Like it...thanks. Hard time taking you seriously with the crossed out Jewish flag though. Seems heavy handed to me.
To see something I completely agree with and something I absolutely disagree with in but a matter of typed lines...so goes the internet.
But getting back to the topic. I remember, about 16 or so pages ago before I wasted 10-15 minutes of my life, when this post started out talking about college football instead of regressing to "my team's penis is bigger than your team's penis".
I don't believe the Griz "reign" is over but I will predict that the reasons the Griz may struggle a bit this year are twofold.
1.) No more Mark "f'ing" Mariani anymore. He earned Bucky Dent Red Sox fan type recognition over his years. Previous posters are nuts if they can't see that he SINGLE-HANDEDLY won multiple games on his own for the Griz the last few years. He's not the kind of player you just replace with a few shifty, quick skill position players. Lots of good quarterbacks have come through Missoula over the years. I don't think it's all that debatable that no one since Dave Dickenson has had similar skills combined with the "ability to pull wins out when all is lost" intangibles. Mariani was the same kind of player.
2.) Coaching staff change. The ghost of Vince Lombardi could rise from the frozen Green Bay tundra to coach the Griz and the transition from Hauck's coaching staff's approach to the new one would still have a few hiccups.
