FINAL:SFA 71 Lamar 3
I know Lamar football program just started... They took McNeese down to the wire in the opener and lost by 3, 30-27, then they turned around and beat a pretty decent Webber International team... After being down by 2o points against SE louisiana came back and beat the 29-28... Team is full of JUCO's and thought they were pretty good. Especially for a team whose program just started back up. Otherwards i believe SFA played a hell of a game, Fan or No Fan. I was very impressed. Moses looked Sharp and the Defense played lights out. I believe this team is going to be better than last year, or have the chance to be. Great Win SFA, Axe Em JACKS!!!

Considering what SFA lost last year I would not think they would be better this year but at this point in time I have to agree with you. Moses is obviously sharper and has eliminated the int issues he had last year.

Well, I'm going to have to see them play a higher quality team before I say they are better than last year. I don't feel like our pass rush is as strong as it was last year, which really helped out or pass defense. We were ok against the run last year, but not stellar, but we didn't really need to be most of the time playing with a lead.McNeese75 wrote:Considering what SFA lost last year I would not think they would be better this year but at this point in time I have to agree with you. As for Moses, I was impressed with his game @ N Iowa, but I wouldn't say we've faced a really great defense yet (not counting Texas A&M). Though, now we go into SLC play, so I guess we'll see. With SFA not having many road games left, things are really looking good for them now. Obviously McNeese will be our toughest road test, which is our next game. Our other SLC tough games will both be at home, to Central Arkansas and TXST.

I doubt that. From what I've seen so far this season, Moses will shread our secondary. Of course, right now we are worried about Northwestern St. That's right, I said worried. If we keep turning the ball over at the rate we have been the first three games, they'll get their second W of the season.kiss my axe wrote:McNeese75 wrote: Obviously McNeese will be our toughest road test, which is our next game. .

Let's see. UCA lost it's starting QB, best defensive tackler, an olineman, a really good and productive WR..and plays each game so differently. Stomping EIU and barely beating Murray State....Dude I have no freakin idea what this team is capable of doing! No chemistry at all! Maybe a week off and then a game vs. Nwst will help get some mojo going...but so many freshman and so many defensive mistakes...SFA just might make another high scoring game out of it this year..unlike last year's last second win by 3.kiss my axe wrote:Well, I'm going to have to see them play a higher quality team before I say they are better than last year.
