This has been discussed all week in the national media that Texas wants to start Lee in the first game at Yankee Stadium, to give the Rangers their best chance at a win in New York.

It's hard to see the team winning tonight not winning the pennant - if the Yanks beat Lee, they will have slayed their biggest threat and will be sitting pretty with just two more wins to go and may not even have to see Lee again. I agree with you to an extent. Tonights game is pivotal! I think the Rangers want to win with Lee tonight, but at the least, their main goal is to pick up a win in NY so that there is at least a game 6 in Arlington. Even if Lee doesn't win, are the Yankees (fans) confident that AJ Burnett can get a win? To me it doesn't matter which one the Rangers win, as long as they pick up one to swing the homefield back to Texas.

Why they have Burnett listed as a probable Tuesday starter is beyond me. They announced before the playoffs that he wouldn't pitch in the postseason after his debacle of a year.
