Possibly there has been some confusion on the intent of my msg? My scenario is slanted toward an NDSU bias. Because of that SDSU has received little or no consideration with regard toward a succesful outcome for them.
I should say though my dear man, I must vigorously disagree with your conclusion. A "Win-Out" scenario for NDSU would be a brilliant finish to the loop contests this year and would certainly make NDSU a deserving champion, worthy of the playoff bid, worthy of the home playoff games and huge crowds and worthy of the final outcome a National Championship.
At this point in time SDSU is clinging to what might prove to be simply a "lucky" win. After all, the SIU fans have assured everyone they were suffering with a rash of injuries and were unable to field their most competitive team. NDSU, on the other hand, is carrying the banner for the entire MVFC with what many thought was a stunning upset win over Big 12 power Kansas Jayhawks. Because of that disparity in accomplishment I feel the "Win-Out" scenario for NDSU is justified and supported by evidence. However, no matter what the outcome, SDSUs position as a member of the Big Dakota 3 is not in jeopardy.
Nothing about SDSU's win Saturday was lucky. They beat SIU and controlled the game the whole time.
Yeah, SIU is beat to shit in the secondary. Yes, our starting QB sat until half for being an idiot the weekend before. But that same back-up also happened to take SIU to the playoffs last year when the same starter was injured early in the season. He's not without experience.

Many Bison fans are just a little worried that the Jacks have started to come together in the last few weeks, while at the same time the Bison are still struggling to find a consistent identity. Most Bison fans took the fact that we lost our first four as a sign that we were a bad team this year. They were counting on a win over SDSU in Fargo to make their season. Not saying that it might not happen, they might beat us. BUT, SDSU gelling is a scary team. If we keep going out each week and getting better, I put odds on the Jacks keeping the Marker this year.
Help me out Bison fans, that would be what... the fourth year in a row? I think Bisonville might implode if it happens.

When you have a football team as close to success as The NDSU BISON, hopes run high and the search for the missing ingrediant is now on. The idea that NDSU could finish atop this conference is not a foreign one to those having a broader knowledge of football and dont simply have tunnel vision to a certain program or conference. I am a student of the game and make it a point to view the sport with an open mind.
OK, I know this is an old post but I'm new here. How funny. Aren't the Bison 7 - 13 since joining the conference and aren't you sitting at 1 - 3 to date? As a "student" of the game even you must realize how silly your posts sound.

Yep, Kansas sure is a power this year aren't they. That 55-7 loss to Baylor must be what is making them that Big 12 power . As for SDSU "clinging" to the SIU win; since you haven't played SIU yet this year how about we talk about WIU. Didn't the Bison get beat by the Necks? I'm comfortable predicting (I know 1 - 0 this week) SDSU finishes in the top half of the league again in 2010 while NDSU struggles to get out of the cellar.

Understood, I just have to wonder sometimes. Are all Bison fans delusional?
it's weird seeing a ranking next to Indiana State's name...If we go out and beat NDSU I am thinking that the next two home games will be VERY interesting...
Hey, I am not gonna hate on ya for rooting for the bison lol...I just find it hard for me to think we will win this weekend...I love em as everyone knows...I just think this would be a giant leap ahead for this program...I know it's one game but think about this...how many people predicted the trees to win a game last year in the Valley?
