I'll agree that the BSC is probably about the same this season as it is most years, with the main difference of Montana having the down year for a variety of reasons. They'll be back next season, and I'm actually looking forward to that (except when we go to WA-Griz).
I do think the 2010 version of the Eagles is somewhat better this year than in the recent past primarily because they're better defensively and seem to know how to win the close games. We always seem to drop the close one to Montana and lose some other game which we should win. That's been the difference - this team has a winning attitude. We may not have Matt Nichols out there throwing up 400 yards of passing a game, but overall there's more balance and depth, IMO. I know we had the bad loss back in September, but we're playing better now than we were at that point in the season.
I don't know what to think about MSU right now. They had a great season, but really seemed to be hit and miss at times - the 62 points given up to Sac State comes to mind. It was good for EWU that they lost, but it's a little bittersweet. Now we're down to one Big Sky team in the playoffs.
