But they are playing a full SLC slate, like UCA did during their transition. Place them however you want.UNHWildCats wrote:Lamar isnt in conference til 2012 correct?CatMom wrote:I'm forgetting that one and made a web page instead.

Re: 2011 Schedules
UND's tentative schedule - a very poor schedule, especially home, but should get better starting Big Sky play in 2012. Also, I believe the AD is trying to get some other games to replace the non-DI games, but it may be unlikely and this may be it. One positive, if I'm going to try to spin it, is the NAIA and DII games will give the young players some experience.

Wow!! With the "crazy speed" already on the roster you guys are going to have something special next year with all the recruits Muzz is pulling away from NDSU! The UND board is almost giddy with pride, verge of bragging really about the great recruiting class.Hambone wrote:UND's tentative schedule - a very poor schedule, especially home, but should get better starting Big Sky play in 2012. This schedule should be a great launching pad for that very special year: 2012. Congratulations on really setting yourselves up for a run "deep into the playoffs" in your first year of eligibility. Thats the goal isn't it?
This schedule will really turn some heads.
Dear Lord, We come before you and humbly ask you to grant our prayer for a veil of protection to be placed over Donald Trump. May your will be done. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
Re: 2011 Schedules
Please. no CWU. Nothing against them, they have a great program but not credit for a w against D-II. Sad thing is we will probably have to go this route to get a 5th home game next year. Would be nice to get another FCS. UND? Re: 2011 Schedules
I'm gonna have to argue that Cal Poly may have the toughest schedule in FCS this year and it still needs two games to finish out the regular season. I borrowed the helmet images to make a little wall schedule for my office. I added significant notes, but here's more to consider:
1. San Diego State returns all but one starter in 2011
2. Northern Illinois returns 15 starters and many more with significant play time
3. Montana returns most starters
4. Most Great West teams were loaded with Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors in 2010. While ND, SD, SU and UCD all finished with 6 or less wins, three of them knocked off FBS teams in 2010 and their losses were generally close.
5. Eastern Washington may or may not be the FCS National Champs come Jan 7, but they return many players
6. South Alabama went 10-0 and I believe returns everyone as they start their transition to FBS
Just my initial feeling after viewing many of the posted schedules as they currently stand. There are some ballzy games scheduled to be sure such as Chattanooga at Nebraska and Montana at Tennessee.

Does look like a very difficult schedule for Poly.
Re: 2011 Schedules
Doh! Sorry about the screw up on North Dakota's location. I'll make the repair right away. BTW... Love the Fighting Sioux mascot. Sure hope there is some way they can work it out with the NCAA and keep it. I hear the Sioux nation is actually behind the mascot for the most part. Damn politics don't belong in football!!!!
Re: 2011 Schedules
OK... my apologies!! I went to a San Diego State site and didn't check my sources thoroughly last time. I should have known someone there might have been less informed about their player's status than I. Anyhow, they are losing several players on Offense and several on Defense, but still return the bulk of their starters from this season. You can read this article for more detailed info. http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/2010 ... 11-aztecs/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Why would Lamar be different than ODU? They have been D1 and still had to go through 2 years of transition before joining the CAA.CatMom wrote:Ok, correction. Lamar was already DI and a non-football member of the SLC. It is also a revival of the football program, not a brand new program.SumItUp wrote:Why would Lamar be different than ODU? CatMom, I understand what you are saying. I'm not trying to argue, I just want to understand. ODU was also D1 and a non-football member of the CAA.
