CAA TODAY: Where Blue Hens Soar And Eagles Dare

Post by jstclmet »

The playoffs in any sport have a life unto themselves. But there is something a little more special about semifinal games.

Whether it’s the ALCS/NLCS, the AFC/NFC championship games, the eastern/western conference NBA semi-finals, the NCAA final four semi’s, or the semi-finals in the FCS playoffs, these elimination games often generate more excitement than the actual championship games.

Very interested to see this game, for UD only allowed 277 yards per game in a rushing conference, whereas Montana allowed 289 in a passing conference.

Hell, I remember some UD fan giving me crap when I commented how Villanova looked as if they had not seen a real passing team all year. Be very exciting to see if UD can handle EWU.

I am not looking to start crap, for I feel the CAA is toughest from top to bottom, but EWU is a whole new game they have not seen.

GO EWU!

We beat UMass 45-27. They passed the football plenty.

It'll be the best secondary EWU has seen all year. 4 seniors.

"Stunned, but unshaken, the Eagles did not bow to the will of the Wildcats."
The Cats were undeterred.

Admittedly, my view was from my living room couch, but in this writer’s opinion, Babbaro was down.
“Where Eagles Dare” is the title of a book and movie that takes place during World War II. British and US agents invade the German Alps (The Castle of the Eagles) to recue POW’s and learn German secrets. On Friday, Jan. 7, the Eastern Washington Eagles will look to invade Frisco, Tx., and secure the 2010 National Championship trophy.
Hens and roosters are not known for flying, but the Fighting Blue Hens are indeed another breed all to themselves as they soared to a 27-10 victory over the Eagles, shutting down the Eagle offense.
Wow, JBB free lances for the CSN. Who knew?

Am I only redneck that is reminded of that hokey country song by Aaron Tippin - Where the Stars & Stripes and the Eagles Fly by the article title?

GO EWU!
UD has seen EWU style offenses and has dispatched them quite easily, and will do so again tonight, especially without EWU's star Running Back. To think otherwise is just naive :|
On December 12, 1775 the Continental Congress created a Battalion of minuteman from the three counties in Delaware. Kent county militia were fans and owners of Game Cocks; Fight'n Blue Hens as they were called. The Fight'n Blue Hens became known far and wide as the very best Fighting Game Cocks around. Thus, the Blue Hen was established.

I think that UD proved to be a legit team but the Eagles proved to be the better team tonight.

Congrats to the Eagles. They made the plays when they had to.

For BHF Only: IN YOUR FACE.

(I restrict that to him because most Delaware fans, while firmly believing the Hens would win, weren't this offensive about it.)
