I don't see much difference between 2009 and 2010.
Lost to: EWU, NAU, Dixie State and two I-A's both years
Beat: San Diego, Davis and UND both years
Improved on beating CP, but declined losing to TxSt.
Provided San Jose State with their only win this year.
Am I missing something?
Yeah, you're missing that they have a future NFL caliber QB (transfer from BYU), and have the 9th ranked offense in FCS. Glad I could open your eyes buddy!

The counter to that argument, though, is that it's not really come up as a problem. 89 can correct me, but I think there's only been two years over the past 10 or so where two Big Sky teams were going to be matched up with each other and there's only been one instance in the past decade where a Big Sky team has beaten another Big Sky team in the playoffs (Montana/Weber in '08). Being paired up against conference mates has not been a significant road block.
I see your saying the same thing I did. I also said we normally get one or two so it doesn't happen very often and when it does once in a while we play each other. It hasn't happened that often but even if it did the run would end normally before the semi's came around. When you have less it's tougher to get an equal amount as far.
BSC teams would most often meet on the same side of the bracket, but it's only happened once in many years. The other thing is that just because two BSC teams might meet early, it didn't have to be Montana advancing if they did meet.
EWU's win this year did a LOT for the BSC as Appa said. IMO it actually did more for the conference than most of Montana's trips to Chatty. Most people know Montana. Not many knew EWU before this year.
The numbers from the last ten years of conference mates meeting in the playoffs...
It's not up to me to show it (even though I did). It would be up to the person that made the claim they were better.
I was trying to throw you a bone their and acknowledge your opinion. So let me check and see if it's valid...
Nope.
They beat Poly last year, their only bad loss was to TSU, and they finished with a better record against a similar if not harder schedule. They were better in 2010 than 2009.

Had enough yet?
Because they beat Poly we can ignore the loss to TSU (4-7), who they had beaten the year before when they were 7-4. Yup, I guess I've had enough, because nobody can argue with that kind of thinking.
BTW, 4-7 Texas State also beat Cal Poly (and a DII). oops.

How so? Disclaimer: I haven't read the entire thread...That being said, kalm showed an improved record for SUU each year...I don't know what your definition of "better" is but it seems to me that an improved record would qualify.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. - Coach Finstock

You should read it. Or at least just the post where I showed 2009 vs 2010. Are both years better than 2007 or 2008... of course. But I think the original claim was steady improvement over the years. Let me go back and look.

Well, looking at their record, yes...they did have a better record in 2010...at least I think 6 wins is better than 5.

The only difference was a win over USD vs a loss in 2009. The rest were a wash, but in reality the loss to TxSt was a terrible loss compared to a win over a decent TxSt last year and a loss to 1-12 San Jose is pretty darn bad. At this rate of improvement, SUU should make the playoffs in 2032.

I'll go out on a limb and say either 5-6 or 6-5.
I'll say 7-4.

Come on, 89, don't you get it - going from 5 to 6 wins is a big deal. 6 to 7, however, isn't. Try to keep up!
Sarcasm...try to keep up.

Oh...I get it...it just wasn't necessary. Kalm's reply, which was the brunt of your sarcasm, was a sarcastic reply. I believe they cancel each other out...Oh well, I'm not sure about the rules of sarcasm

You've been owned with an economy of words by kalm and ml already today so I'm glad to see I don't even have to make an attempt today.
