Western Kentucky (5 - 0) swept a 3-game series the Bowling Green State Falcons, had a close victory over Lipscomb and then defeated Kansas State 11 - 3 in the Myrtle Beach Tournament in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Today WKU takes on #17 Coastal Carolina Chanticleers. WKU is no slouch Chants so I suggest that you do not fall asleep at the wheel. :coffee:

Wazzu played a double header against UC Santa Barbra today in Pullman with the temperature being 12 degrees at the first pitch and never getting above 18. It was miserably cold all day but the Cougs won both games, 5-1 and 7-3.

The SLC is a baseball conference. Too bad we can't get more than one team in most years. Maybe this year?

BASEBALL: Another Southland win against a perennial power. In this early season, the league has wins against Alabama, Arkansas, Baylor, Houston, Nebraska, Oregon State, Rice and Texas.

McNeese beat Arkansas but lost to Southern. So..............is Arkansas that bad or Southern that good?

Harvard was swept by Jacksonville State.

Next Games: Fullerton @ LSU for a weekend series (finally, we're going back to Louisiana since 1990!), Harvard @ Wofford for a 4 game weekend series.
