Frog Open Final
Federer spoils Djokovic's undefeated start to the season, and will face old nemisis Nadal in yet another GS final. I'll be watching every second on Sunday.

Re: Frog Open Final
I like Federer, but Nadal has been making him his beeotch of late. Nadal rolls.

Re: Frog Open Final
Well, Nadal has pretty much always had the upper hand in the head-to-head series, but he hasn't looked as unbeatable on clay this season as he normally does. I'd probably bet on Nadal, but I think it'll be a close one either way.ASUG8 wrote:I like Federer, but Nadal has been making him his beeotch of late. Nadal rolls.
Re: Frog Open Final
Nadal is my favorite player. He handled Soderling yesterday, the only player to EVER beat him at the Frog Open. And he has been getting steadily better as the tourney progressed. I think he wins too, but Federer is obviously no pushover. Should be an epic match, but won't match their 2008 Wimbledon match (which IMO was the greatest match ever played).
BTW, I think it is total BS that if Dorkovic had won today he would have been the new #1 ahead of Nadal, even if Nadal beat him on Sunday. I'm glad we don't have to worry about that now.

Re: Frog Open Final
If I'm not mistaken, I think the only person to beat Nadal on clay this year was Dorkovic, 4 times. Otherwise, aside from his blip against Soderling in 2009 at the Frog Open, he's never lost there.Grizalltheway wrote:Well, Nadal has pretty much always had the upper hand in the head-to-head series, but he hasn't looked as unbeatable on clay this season as he normally does. Yeah, but Federer has only lost one set in the tourney so far, and that was today, against the player who hadn't lost a match yet this year.bandl wrote:If I'm not mistaken, I think the only person to beat Nadal on clay this year was Dorkovic, 4 times. Thanks for spoiling it. NBC is showing the fourth set as I type.

Re: Frog Open Final
Good question.
The short answer is that I turned the tube on wanting to watch Rachael Ray, but the show was pre-empted for this match and I was too lazy to either change the channel or shut it off.

No seriously. You guys follow men's tennis?
And I'll disregard any comments by people who were looking for Rachel Ray and were disappointed because men's tennis was on, because that's just too fucking bizarre to even get into.

Re: Frog Open Final
There is a point here. Boys tennis has been EXCESSIVELY boring since Mac and Connors retired. Their antics made tennis fun, along the lines of watching Earl Weaver and Billy Martin managing baseball teams. The modern crop are analagous to Bruce Bochy: boring, boring, BORING.

If it was physically possible to reach through the monitor and slap you with a glove to initiate a duel, I would do it right now.Grizalltheway wrote:Big whoop, wanna fight about it?93henfan wrote:No seriously. You guys follow men's tennis?

I'm with you, 93. First soccer, and now mens tennis. GATW is trying VERY hard to come across as gay.93henfan wrote:If it was physically possible to reach through the monitor and slap you with a glove to initiate a duel, I would do it right now.Grizalltheway wrote:

I enjoy women's tennis for the T&A, men's tennis for the quality of play.AZGrizFan wrote:I'm with you, 93. First soccer, and now mens tennis. GATW is trying VERY hard to come across as gay.93henfan wrote:

I forgot to mention the grunting and shrieking.

I like it when they sweat under their boobies. I mean, you could be the most serious tennis player in the world, honey, but I will laugh at you if you have sweat under your boobies.

Since the American tennis program fizzled out years ago, I've lost interest. Who cares what furriner wins this week?

Why? Outside of their inherent hotness, the match would be utterly boring as it would likely be a double bagel win for Sharapova.AZGrizFan wrote:I would rather watch Sharapova vs Kournikova. Just sayin'...
