Although this is true, it was back in the D2 days so they don't count anymore right? Like any national championships won in the D2 level. If you consider head to head record making them better, you must take account of national championships. In that case NDSU>UND
The only way you can actually make a case is when we start playing again at the FCS level. Until then its only smack talk and opinions.
Actually DI football championships it would look like this UND=NDSU, they both have zero. As far as transition records it would be NDSU > UND. But you are right it is only smack until we play which will happen it is almost a done deal according to our AD. It wil be every other year and it will start probably at the midpoint of this decade.
Since moving up UND has failed to beat any Dakota Big 3 team and some they have refused to play. I think they may have slipped by USD early in the transition but USD had not ascended to Dakota Big 3 Status. Since being admitted USD has beaten both Minnesota Gophers and UND.
UND has a terrible football team. Anybody saying any different hasnt looked at the record over the past 4 or 5 years. Weak schedules, poor play, terrible recruiting, questionable coaching, losses to lower division teams, it hasnt been pretty. Of course, and they will readily admit, its not their primary sport on campus. Why they add on campus Ill never know, but they do.
NDSU of course stormed out of the gate with the the big wins over Central Mich and Ball State. Went 1-1 with the Gophers and beat Kansas. They have been ranked #1 on several different occasions. They went deep into the playoffs last year and are now recognized as one of the best teams in the country, in the Spotlight with the game at TCF stadium Tomorrow.
UND is hosting NAIA/D2? member Black HIlls State in one of their many lower division games this season.
Dear Lord, We come before you and humbly ask you to grant our prayer for a veil of protection to be placed over Donald Trump. May your will be done. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
