You missed the point. Everyone on both fan bases always think they have magical inside info on what is going on, when in reality, we are all just a bunch of Monday morning QB's puffing our chests and talking about how "If the coach would have started me, we would have won state". Get over it.mlbowl wrote:I'm sure you didSACCAT wrote: I heard from about 4-5 Eye witnesses that it did happen the way the cops said, and actually was worse and the cops are holding back some details from the news report. I kinda like to wait and see until more of the story comes out before knee jerking a reaction to what ought to be done to someone so it will be interesting.mlbowl wrote:Now we're "dumbasses"CatBlitz22 wrote: All they did was release him from his scholarship and LOI. I don't have to justify anything. As for our players, they will have their day in court...along with SEVERAL eye witnesses that say this incident didn't happen the way the police reported. So, kindly go fvck yourself.
Can young guys do dumb shit...certainly.
Have cops sort of turned a lot more militaristic in the way they handle situations as simple as a music turndown...certainly.
Not all of either group do this stuff but this could be a combination of the two so it might be a good idea to wait & see since I'm not on any deadline right now to pass judgment on the situation. This approach may not work for everybody so back to the knee jerking party.

Re: 2 UM football players tased and arrested
this is all hearsay at this point, and i haven't had the chance to read through all of the posts on this topic, but according to two of my family members who are both members of the cheer squad and know tru and gerald, it sounds as if the situation was not handled well by the police. that does not give the players the right to disobey direct orders/requests from them, but it could have been handled much better by the police.
Kemp's role in the situation sounds more like he was trying to cool things down, and get people out of there, wrong place, wrong time situation. Trumaine is a bit of a hot-head and has an attitude that probably pushed the cops to a point where they lost patience.
I do think both players should be suspended for one game, simply for being arrested - just seems like a reasonable punishment for the time being. As a member of the Griz football team, you should make better decisions and stay out of trouble, especially with the law. If the legal system finds them guilty, then I feel further punishment from the University is warranted. HOWEVER, since I'm going back to Montana for my first Griz game in about 4 years, I really hope that these players are active for this game, but that's just me being selfish.

Exactly. I wasn't there, but I heard from a couple close friends who know a Missoula Police Officer who attended MSU that those two were doing the no pants dance.mcveyrl wrote:Early stages? We're only getting waist up in that shot...CAA Flagship wrote: Looks like the early stages of manlove.![]()
