IF a few select complain about this, then they have this attitude. If, collectively FCS fans flood them with emails, and phone calls, something positive may happen. What does it hurt? This ESPN 3 is a complete JOKE, and disgrace to FCS fans.
ISPs that won't carry it are what you should be bitching about, not ESPN3 itself.
No.
Why should I be forced to link my computer to my TV just to watch a football game? HUH? Especially a local one?

It's called capitalism. Thought you were a fan.
What is capitalism? Is that some fancy German thing where you dance around drinking all night and then wake up in Prague with one kidney in a sex-slave brothel?

Something like that. Anyway, aren't all the first round games available for free on NCAA.com?

Once again. Why should I be forced to link my computer to my TV to watch a playoff game?

Last year they were, but from what I've heard they will not be this year. I hope I've heard wrong as there are no providers here that will get me on ESPN3. I'll be at our home game, but assuming we advance past that (and that SHSU isn't upset) I won't be able to see the next one.

From what I have read only the first 2 rounds will not be on TV.

Because ESPN has the rights to the games, and that's what they decided to do. You don't have to like it (I don't), but that's how the world works. There's no Constitutional right to watch FCS playoff games on basic cable.

From what I understand, two of the four quarterfinal games and both semifinals games will be on ESPN/ESPN2. One Friday night and one Saturday

Apparently not...or on gameplan, or anywhere else. I just got off the phone with them and asked them why they wouldn't put in a PPV or something similiar for the early round games. NOPE. ZILCH. NADA. "I can pass this on to corporate if you like, will that be all today? Have a fine day and thanks for supporting ESPN and it's affiliates."
FUCK THEM. I would gladly pay to watch some of these early round games.

I hope I am not wrong...but I will stand corrected because I cannot remember where I read what I thought I read.

Here is what they should do. It is 100 bucks for the early playoff games if you already have gameplan. FINE. You got me for another hun. I thought ESPN was all about the dollars?

Well, if you want to see it at all, you would be better served having a mass call-in to your cable provider (probably Optimum), plus, if you can get it ESPN3 is free, and if it was a hundred dollars, the viewing figures would probably be even less. I think you stand a way better chance of your isp carrying ESPN3 in the next two weeks than you do ESPN offering 3rd party broadcast rights.

Posted in another thread. I will be doing that tomorrow. I have both DirectTV and local. Hopefully something gets figured out by then.

I think, (I don't mean to sound like a conspiracy nut) ESPN is probably using this as a new (albeit modest) revenue stream. ISP's have to pay to carry ESPN3, if they don't offer local broadcasting, the only option will be for the ISP's that don't offer ESPN3 to begin carrying it. Its shitty, and I really wish I could see if on TV, but unfortunately it seems like the only option right now. I would be super pleased if I turned out being wrong though.

You can watch the friggin game for FREE on your computer - you don't have to get ESPN3 access.
If that isn't good enough for you, you have more than a week to goto your local electronics store to get the proper cables to hook your laptop/PC up to your TV and watch the game on your big-screen from your computer feed.

Have someone with ESPN3 access remote link your account and you have it for 90 days OR do this
1) Go to att.net
2) Make sure you are logged out of any Yahoo! accounts you have
3) Click on the "mail" icon
4) Sign up for a free att.net e-mail account
5) At the espn3.com page, select AT&T as your Internet Service Provider and sign in on the att.net page with your new att.net e-mail account
6) ESPN3 should now allow you stream events

Welcome to 2011 whiners.
PS - You're welcome.
So two options if you aren't there. ESPN3 if you get it, or firstrowsports.tv if you don't. Wow you are right. There are MANY ways.
I will be at the games so this doesn't affect me. However it is annoying for those people that maybe don't have internet access at all. Yes I know they are behind the times but still, the games were always televised in previous years, why change it?

Money....if your ISP was willing to pay to carry ESPN3 you'd have it. This isn't on ESPN....this is on your ISP.

Well, if this event is what pushes people into the modern world & they get internet access, then I'm 100% for it.
And if they don't have internet, do they have electricity or indoor plumbing?
