Re 'Crosstown showdown: Monarchs rule,' front page, Nov. 27: What went into the record books as a win was really a sham and a disgrace to competitive college sports. This game was equivalent to two boxers competing in the ring with one of them blindfolded. On nearly every offensive play by Norfolk State, the crowd noise was so high that it drowned out the play-calling. The team simply couldn't hear the plays. This was not the case when Old Dominion had the ball. You could hear a pin drop when they were on offense. This partisan behavior by ODU fans was reprehensible by design and should be considered a shameful act to control the outcome. The results should be thrown out due to unsportsmanlike conduct by the fans.
We're talking about it over on MEACFans Zone as well...goes along with the problem of the disconnect with our fans at games. I pointed out that this guy is probably a big time Skins fan and roots hard against the Cowboys so what's the difference...and the said thing is that if he is in fact trolling, there are really fans who think this way.
You have to play the game under duress on the road. The Pilot editorial shows epic stupidity. If NSU wanted to shut up the crowd, you win the game such as how Towson did on 4th and 29. Football is a loud and passionate game for everyone. As long as those people aren't cursing or showing deep disrepect (showing middle fingers to the other team), you take it and bring your best game every game.
the nerve that ODU fans have for being passionate and knowledgeable fans and know when to make noise and not make noise. The ODU fans should be ashamed of themselves....

You think this game should have been played at a neutral site instead???

Wait. That wasn't just a joke?
Nope. Cat nation is starting to go full (Griz)tard on us
Was it on Bobcat Nation that they were talking about this? From the way the Cats played in that game, I don't think there were many calls they could have stolen.
