Montana's 2012 schedule so far:

9/1 at Appalachian State TBD
9/8 OPEN
9/15 OPEN
9/22 Northern Arizona * TBD
9/29 at Eastern Washington * TBD
10/6 at Northern Colorado * TBD
10/13 Southern Utah * TBD
10/20 at North Dakota * TBD
10/27 Idaho State * TBD
11/3 at Weber State * TBD
11/10 South Dakota TBD
11/17 Montana State * TBD

I'd like 9/8 to be a winnable FCS home game (not sure who, since anybody West of the Mississippi is "in conference" now, but) perhaps a UC Davis or a Southland team...then, if they want a money game, make it the 9/15 game.
9/8 and 9-15 will be a Div II and possibly a big payday FBS I would guess. That would give the Griz a 6-6 home and away schedule and 7 big paydays.
This wont happen. It will be an 11 game schedule, not 12. There is no bye in there if you add two more games. Might as well just pencil in Western State already...

Difference this time is: With both App State and South Dakota on the schedule already, I could live with a Western State or Western Oregon game....hopefully they won't have to resort to that, but the OOC schedule is already pretty good. :thumb:

I thought I'd heard that the South Dakota game wasn't scheduled. Is there anything out there confirming that game?

pretty much all ODU knows for certain right now, at least from the fans perspective is that the CAA will have JMU/ODU play in the last week of the season...the CAA thinks that will be another premier rivalry in the conference, this season's match-up was at ODU, so it will be at JMU in 2012.

As far as OOC, rumors are that ODU will most likely travel to Campbell, open at home against Duquesne and the 3rd OOC game will either be against Hampton or I believe Gardner-Webb...both would be on the road I assume.

I think we still get to 7 W's, but any more than that and I'll be shocked.

We could be going into our bye week with 1 or 2 wins.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the powers that be in the BSC will discourage interconference OOC games (if that makes sense :? ).
Our OOC games are NMState, Colorado, and UNC. If interconference OOC games are discouraged then there is nowhere to get regional FCS OOC matchups from. Someone should be dragged out back and beaten if the plan was to expand the BSC to swallow up all western FCS programs and then discourage interconference games. :ohno:

That's the problem with being the little brother for state universities in Iowa. We get the shaft on funding compared to Iowa and Iowa State and the athletic dept. has been told to pay their own way so we have to have 2 money games.
