Come on, Wedgie. This is nothing more than a second interview. He'll probably do the same with one or two of the other places he's visited before he makes his decision.
Besides, I'm not sure the Broncos have enough weapons to make it worth Manning's time unless they convince him that they'll have enough cache after signing him to get some receivers in free agency. Eric Decker isn't going to be enough.

Manning has made a career out making decent receivers in to all-pros...
Pierre Garcon anyone?
(this excludes Marvin Harrison who would have been good anywhere... but Payton made a potential HoFer)

Why the hate?
Because he is NOT a good QB and should have never ever gotten the job.

Not buying that. Sam Bradford had a worse passer rating, but not only do I not see any hate for him, he's often talked about fondly as the future of the Rams and an up and coming young QB.

Passer rating is not really a good stat to base their comparison on.
Chad Pennington has the #12 career passer rating and he isn't exactly great.
Romo has the #2 and people complain about him constantly.

It's also so complicated as to be of no practical use. Just as a comparison, ERA for a baseball pitcher is MUCH easier to understand.

Do you think Sam Bradford has been a better QB than Tebow?
Bradford is 8-18 in two seasons, has a lower passer rating, and has 89 total rushing yards.
I think that was Vidav's point, 89. People consider Bradford to be a "savior" of sorts for StL, but he's not up to par with Tebow in terms of production. Pennington cranked out incidental numbers, but couldn't produce the important one: wins.
I think the takeaway here is that passer rating is a contrived stat that doesn't mean much in the "real world."

Since when is passing the be-all and end-all of playing QB? An ability to read defenses and select audibles is MUCH more important, and Tebow greatly improved in that area as last season progressed.
BTW, Manning in Denver still isn't a done deal. The Whiners have emerged as another potential suitor now that they've signed that punk Randy Moss.

Huh? That was MY point. Tebow has more wins, better passer rating, better TD/INT ratio, far more rushing yards... Tebow is the better QB right now. You can argue that you think Bradford has more potential, but that's 100% speculation at this point.
Look, I wouldn't want Tebow as my team's QB either, but I just think all the hate is because of 1. the hype/mania and 2. his religious beliefs. The first you can't fault him for, the second... some folks have made their hate for Christians pretty clear on this board.
You make a pretty good case, 89. It just seemed as if Vidav was agreeing with you to some degree.

Garcon was a beast in college, no one made him "look good"...other way around. Just because it was D-III doesn't mean shit. He could have played anywhere.

Dolts will suck for several years, Tebow will disappear for good and the Roncho's will be broke and still suck because I don't think Manning has that much left in him.....
