 Really??? Instead of reporting the stuff in 1998 or whatever, they sat silent until last year. :dunce: :dunce: :dunce: They got 12+ years of no bad press on the issue. ****, it isn't that hard to understand.

Yeah, blame the press
Jesus H.T.F. Christ, you are retarded. What the hell was there to report in 1998? The police investigated Sandusky and both the Centre County and PA AG declined to prosecute. You can't even get the basic facts right, but that sure as hell doesn't stop you from moral grandstanding.
Pot calling the kettle black, anyone? :dunce:

That will have to be paid out over 30 years and 60% of it will be administration costs.
Still, only 6.93% of what they should pay.

JFC you're pathetic. If someone in your family was raping small boys, you'd defend them. :ohno:
The only child rapist in this story is Sandusky. I'd like you to point out where I defended him.
Sandusky is the only child rapist, but Paterno and PSU administration knew about it and not only let it continue to happen, but actually took steps to prevent it from being brought to the public's eye, for fear of the repercussions that will be doled out tomorrow. You defend those who knew about it and tried to cover it up, and like a scumbag lawyer, come up with any excuse to allow for the possibility that they did nothing wrong. :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

Not that I'm religious or support the church or anything, but the sermon in the beginning of Boondock Saints sums it up nicely.

Monsignor: And I am reminded, on this holy day, of the sad story of Kitty Genovese. As you all may remember, a long time ago, almost thirty years ago, this poor soul cried out for help time and time again, but no person answered her calls. Though many saw, no one so much as called the police. They all just watched as Kitty was being stabbed to death in broad daylight. They watched as her assailant walked away. Now, we must all fear evil men. But there is another kind of evil which we must fear most, and that is the indifference of good men.
Connor: [as the brothers exit the church] I do believe the monsignor's finally got the point.
Murphy: Aye.

Quite simply, the NCAA cannot allow any member institution or their employees to be gutless, immoral worms. That comes off worse than any pay-for-play scandal ever has or will. I fully support the NCAA in hammering Penn State.

So the NCAA has the right to fire school presidents and faculty? The NCAA gets to define who is "gutless" and "immoral"? The NCAA's Swiss cheese rulebook (and its interpretation of it) is over and above local, state, and federal law?

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

I should have been clearer- the NCAA cannot allow member institutions (athletics) or their athletic department employees to be immoral.

Do not for a second assume that I care about law. Speaking for myself, I only care about doing what is right. That is my stance. The NCAA does not need to define cowardice or unethical behavior- anyone can see it. Just as Potter Stewart once said, "I know it when I see it."
Don't put words in my mouth, either. I only said that it reflects very poorly on the NCAA if they allow its members to get off easy in situations where they should not, such as this scenario.

That's the arguement my wife made, but you're comparing PSU to itself and not other institutions.
