I've been saying that about Safron for 3 straight weeks now. At a certain point you just figure the passing game won't improve and you just have to accept what it is.kalm wrote: FWIW, in 2010 we didn't crack 40 points till the 9th game of the season and only did it once more after that. But I do get your point.
Montana may not deserve to be in the top 25 right now but they are definitely a top 25 caliber team. That's a hell of a rushing attack and the passing game should improve as things go forward.
I agree on the comments of playing soft at the end of the game. You guys have always been aggressive with blitzing and should have kept it up.
No reason you guys don't win out until the brawl, which is in Missoula, and really anyone's game.

Yeah, I think that um's coaches agree with you, they didn't throw hardly any passes that crossed the line of scrimmage in the first 58 minutes of their epic meltdown.SDHornet wrote:I've been saying that about Safron for 3 straight weeks now. You should be glad, now the 300+ rushing yards you gave up to us don't look nearly as atrocious as they did.cats2506 wrote:Yeah, I think that um's coaches agree with you, they didn't throw hardly any passes that crossed the line of scrimmage in the first 58 minutes of their epic meltdown.SDHornet wrote: I've been saying that about Safron for 3 straight weeks now. Fun fact: EWU is 2-0 in games the last two years when giving up over 400 yards rushing. We gave up 405 to Cal Poly last year.Grizalltheway wrote:You should be glad, now the 300+ rushing yards you gave up to us don't look nearly as atrocious as they did.cats2506 wrote: Yeah, I think that um's coaches agree with you, they didn't throw hardly any passes that crossed the line of scrimmage in the first 58 minutes of their epic meltdown.

Ah, the coaches' poll - it is always praised as the best, most accurate poll.AZGrizFan wrote:Held on in which poll? From TSN:
But perennial power Montana was outside the Top 25 rankings, ending a run of 195 straight appearances dating to the Nov. 2, 1998 poll.
...
New Hampshire (3-2) rose six spots to No. 14 following a 34-14 win over Delaware. With Montana falling out of the Top 25 rankings, UNH owns the longest active run of appearances at 118, dating to 2004.

Shows you how clueless coaches are.AZGrizFan wrote:Sad when only the coaches "get" it.∞∞∞ wrote:Damn, Montana dropped out of all the polls except for the Coaches (#20).
There is no way this team should be ranked, they shouldnt have been ranked last week.
UM is a really bad football team in many many phases of the game. Beating us is not a big deal and if you struggle with us well..............we suck so..................

Big Sky will get 4 in the playoffs.
MSU
EWU
Cal Poly
NAU
The griz might sniff the top 25 again if they can beat No CO and SUU in back to back weeks. Griz will lose at least two more games though. Probably to North Dakota in Grand Forks (SUU won't be a cake walk, but Ill give the edge to the griz at home). The death blow will be at Wa-Griz Stadium on Nov 17. Cat/griz is always big, no matter the circumstances. But this year the griz will be playing for their playoff lives (just like 2010). Only this time the Press Box won't be filled with griz fans and ESPNU on sunday, because at 6-5, their playoff fate will already be set in stone
