Agreed, but not by a landslide. I think Lehigh and Richmond have equally valid gripes with their resumes. I really don't believe Lehigh would do all that well in the tourney, but with 10 wins, there isn't much more they could have done sans beat Colgate.
It seems like the committee might have gone out of their way to put 3 teams from all the power conferences into the playoffs to avoid any claims of bias.

They also beat Villanova by 2 TDs.
They
-had their 2 I-A lossses (played LSU very respectably 38-22).
-the week after @ LSU lost @ JMU 13-10 when JMU was coming off of a bye week.
-lost to ODU 31-20 without Terrence West, who missed the game due to a death in the family.
So were 2-1 vs playoff teams.
They didn't play UR. I would vote them #2 just behind UR.

To any AD of a school with playoff hopes: Unless you are 100% sure you can get through your conference with no more than 1 loss, DO NOT SCHEDULE MORE THAN 1 FBS SCHOOL AND DO NOT SCHEDULE ANY D-2 SCHOOLS.

I agree 100%... *ESPECIALLY* as it relates to the not more than 1 FBS part. Someone needs to tell our AD at Eastern that advice. He makes some of the worst FCS schedules in the country. If Eastern wasn't winning despite the bad schedules, he would've been sent packing a long time ago. Almost all the other university programs have turned to shit under his watch.

Well I think that Towson is as deserving as SHST. They both have 7 1aa wins and a least Towson has two quality wins knocking off playoff teams in Villanova and New Hampshire. Both of those games were on the road.

You can't be 7-4 and get woofed. If they were 8-3 and left out I'd completely agree with you, but 7-4 is not a great record, no matter who you played.

I also totally agree with this. UC Davis schedules at least one D2 and one (sometimes two) FBS teams. If they want to do well and eventually be in the playoffs, they must start scheduling all FCS teams or least schedule a beatable FBS team (we've won two in the last ten years but Stanford was a fluke).

With this strong of a field , I see your point, but what playoff teams did SHST team beat this year? They only have seven 1AA WINS.

The thread is about who got woofed, not about who got in.
I think NAU, Lehigh and Richmond definitely got woofed but this might not have happened if we were already to 24 playoff teams. I don't think expanding dilutes the field - what dilutes it is allowing very weak conferences to have an autobid.
