Need another pitcher. Happy about Revere and Young, though.

Historically, Rivere has hit much better out of the two hole than he has batting leadoff. My guess is that Rollins ill bat leadoff and Rivere 2nd.

Except Rollins hits HRs. I would rather have him hit a 2 run shot than solo.
And I think Amaro will sign another SP and RP to complete the offseason. But he could also go after a corner OF to replace Mayberry/Ruf.

Rollins also hits lead off, and likes it. You have a guy who likes to bat lead off, and a guy who hits much better out of the two hole. No reason to switch them in the order.

And yet Rollins is NOT a leadoff hitter. He may think he is, but he simply doesn't have the AVG and OBP.

I agree, Rollins is not a typilcal leadoff hitter, in a perfect world he wouldn't be. But in reality Rollins will probably bat leadoff next year.

You're right. The Nats are a lock to win the division next year.
Just like the Philies were a lock last year.

Does anyone really think the Phillies are going to contend with the Nats?

I don't think the Philies are done for next year. No way they just hand Dom Brown a starting OF job, they'll get a corner outfielder still. Revere & Young combined cost the Phils less than $7M this season so they have plenty of $$ to spend still.

I'd rather we make sure the bullpen is solid. Already good with Paps back there, but we need reliable arms to get to him.

No. The Nats will win easily. Just like the Phillies were the favorites and won easily last year. Go ahead and bet your house on it.

So you would rather have a Ruf/Mayberry platoon over Hamilton in the OF?

No, but I know a train wreck when I see it.

Sounds like Hamilton is off to the Angels. Never will know if he was going to be a trainwreck here or not.

Onto Swisher! He's basically the only bat left that I want.
