MSU likely has the Chadron game in the bag. NDSU will have to scramble to get a replacement, and it probably won't be pretty. TWO teams' schedules are thus officially screwed. This is about as stupid as firing a coach this late.
Bush league is right!
MSU already scheduled SMU, and NDSU loves eating cupcakes.
The last cupcake NDSU played was the 2 time defending Big Sky champion, Sam Houston.

Montana State has bought out of Bison football game, amazingly.
Pussies.
I remember when all the Cat fans would get pissed at UM for buying out road games because we made more money at home? Look at them now...

I agree this move is stupid but holy hell could you be any more of a piece of shit? Prime example why you griz fans are nothing but the scum of the earth.
You have to take ANYTHING I say with a huge grain of salt dude. Thought my way over the top generalization would be taken as such.

We didn't buy this game out for another home game. So it is not the same thing. And MSU diserves all the negativity for this stupid move.
Bullshit, tell me you are not that simple minded? So instead you are going to schedule another away game, okie dokie there good buddy, makes perfect sense!

I am not simple minded. We bought this game out for $100k and now we are going to SMU instead for probably around 400k. And again, I am not happy about it.
I would like to hear JBB/Lakes' takes on this situation.
"What I'm saying is: You might have taken care of your wolf problem, but everyone around town is going to think of you as the crazy son of a bitch who bought land mines to get rid of wolves."
I also don't understand why anyone from either side would be outraged about this.
Both sides signed a contract
A buyout was included
MSU paid said buyout/followed rules of contract
Why is anyone pissed?
If NDSU didn't want to risk having a buyout, why put it in the contract?

Correct. It's NOT the same thing, because you don't make $700,000 on a home game. Thus, the need to prostitute the program on the road.

Because MSU did this a little over a week before March, you do this kind of thing in October. It is the way they went about doing it, just bush league.
Whatever I guess, I won't listen to one second of bitching about NDSU's SOS from anyone though.

Yes, just like the griz are doing in 2014 against Washington..Again, I am not happy about this. I hate it.

Wyoming.
And we're not doing it for the money. I'll bet they are paying us much less than what we'd make at a home game.

I wouldn't expect there to be any. Who EVER you get to replace the 'scats will probably put up more of a game anyways.

This is the return game from when the Bison played in Bozeman in 2005. This is the second time Montana State has bought out the return game in Fargo. It's always possible that a team can buyout a game, Montana St has done it twice now, hopefully the Bison brass will learn from this.
I've always thought that buyout clauses should have an incremental structure. Where the buyout amount increases the later it gets, since scrambling to find a replacement game after everyone else has filled their schedules causes so many headaches.
Who is NDSU going to get to replace them on the sched? Will they be able to afford to buy some D1 scrub this late in the game, or will they be forced to play a DII like UNI did last year?
