Well, like him or not, it's a pretty good American success story. He's an asshole of the highest order but I'd say hit OK at the plate by any normal metric.

I'd say he was born on 3rd base but then proceeded to hit many HR's as well.

I guess I don't watch enough of him but I don't really remember that being part of the shtick. Hell back in the 80's he wasn't getting away with that so I don't know how he would be now.
