One thing Ursus and I have in common is we enjoy evaluating "information" regardless of the implications or the results - just taking it for what it is... He's more conservative than I am in general - I'm more Liberal then he is in General - Yet we seem to agree on things about 80% of the time... why is this..?

:wtf:
Oh yeah? Well I agree with you both 90% of the time. So go figure. :thumb:
Man, you really split that 20% outlier group right down the middle.

I'd like to lobby for 91% if you don't mind so I can keep my thumb on ol' Chizzito.

Maybe you do not feel threatened by the nonsense spouted by dawg and kalm, but you are turning a blind eye to the consequences - especially the long term consequences.

Van Jones may be right about latent civil unrest, and that your purposefully fomented alynskyite "anti-capitalist revolution" is coming.

No one will actually win a civil war, but you and Van may be surprised by who loses, dawg.

Even with the recent downturn, I'm still up over 25% from when I bought in May of last year. I think I'll keep my stocks unless my gains drop to 10%, then I may start believing this.
My two stocks: GE and Pepsi. Looking at acquiring with what my tax refund check (which includes the $8,000 first time homebuyer tax credit rebate) coming soon (hopefully): Dr. Pepper, AT&T and BP

Probably the number.

I have to assume either Cleets forgot a zero or was referring to the S&P.

His first prediction was 780.

There will be riots in the street if this happens.

A 400 point drop in the S&P would be a ~35% drop. That's probably not all that far-fetched.
That's pretty much what we saw in 2000 and 2008.

I don't know about riots in the streets...but anyone who doesn't heed this advice will be a'hurtin'...

Had a long talk with the son, who has done very well in the markets...

He's bailing out on stocks almost completely right now...money markets and bonds...money markets and bonds...

Chizzang wrote:Gentlemen,
May I suggest a few things rather quickly:

As you are all well aware (see recent Maxine Waters actions) the Obama administration might actually attempt to "correct" what should probably never even be spoken of, much less meddled with. Might I sincerely suggest that you pull basically all of your money out of the market over the next few weeks

convert it into cash and put it in a little 6 month 3 to 5 % CD (as much of it as you can get out of the market and into a cash deposit situation with a fixed rate)

Over the next 6 months the the Banks and institutions that control our federal Reserve system and Wall Street are going to Crash The Market fairly severely - so as to effect electoral change - once this has happened the market will be put back in place and allowed to recover

A few points:
1) a crashed market will insure we get some Republicans elected
2) Republicans will bring balance back (grid lock) which is essential
3) And Street reform and banking reform will be put on the back burner

Trust me on this... get your money out fairly soon and convert it into cash CD's

after 6 or 8 months you can start loading it back in and re-building

:coffee: Thank me later... by election time the market will be at 780 (I'm taking wagers on any disbelievers)

I stand by the above (Except 780 should be 7800)
: And Col's son and anybody connected will tell you to start transferring to stable cash options

You have done it verbally as well. When I talked to you the day you posted this you were dropping the zero in your speech also so if you have been doing that verbally to others then getting a roll your eyes type of look I'm sure can understand why.
