Hey, how about this one: how would you feel if an alligator had eaten your father before you were conceived? Gosh, I bet you'd want alligator's eliminated from the planet, right? :dunce:

Pssst...the "two wrongs" idea is assinine. It is the mantra of a weak minded person. :kisswink:

Of course, you get some hack of a judge to interpret it his way, and another judge - on appeal - to interpret it a different way. On and on it goes until it works it's way up to the Supreme Court where, giggle, political appointees, appointed by someone voted in by the masses (heavens, a dumbass, unemployed crack addict's vote is as valuable as a lawyer's), decide what the law means for the next few years.
The argument about the "fluid" nature of the constitution doesn't address the chief problems with Griswold and Roe.

It is one thing to take existing constitutional provisions and reassess them in light of contemporary conditions. I have no problem with that (although some do), so long as proper consideration is also given to the actual text of the constitution as it has historically been understood and applied.

It is quite another thing to simply add to the text. Griswold and Roe were cases where the court just added to the text, and found something that simply isn't there. These courts were not taking existing constitutional provisions and reassessing them in light of contemporary conditions. They made up a fundamental right; the proper procedure to amend the constitution was not followed.

Margaret Sanger is the founder of Planned Parenthood. Yes, she was an avowed racist and a a firm believer, supporter, and activist for eugenics. Her goal was to breed the undesirables out of the human race, and that definitely included the entire black population.

Gee, Almighty Joltin Joe, how the hell did those atheist bastards slip this shit by numerous supreme court justices and law experts who are smarter (GASP!) than you, decade after baby-killing decade?!!!!

Sounds like you need to take another class at Yale.

 I'll give you that one.

But saying an organization that performs over 300,000 abortions every year does more to prevent abortion than others is the real joke here.

again, when you consider that 80% of the women who go there seeking counseling opt not to abort... they are doing a hell of a lot to prevent abortions.

and i stand by the fact that they do a hell of a lot more by that fact alone than prolife across america and their silly and wasteful billboard campaigns... or the protesters who march around clinics and accost the people working there.

tangible steps to reduce the need for abortions - that's where the success is. increased sex ed, comprehensive "abstinence first" sex ed - combined with access to affordable pre and post-natal care and adoption incentives... that's how you reduce abortions. all of these are positions advocated for and encouraged by PP.

I'm not sure of your stat to begin with. I can't find it anywhere. What I find is PP sees about 3M patients per year, but they say most of their visits are for contraception, STD testing and cancer screening. If they perform over 300,000 abortions a year, they see over 1,500,000 pregnant women a year? I can't find the figure.

Also found that 22% of all pregnancies end in abortion, so your stat is pretty much average.

Would expanded birth control help unwanted pregnancies? Absolutely. But you can promote that without performing 25% of the country's abortions. But that's not what PP is about, so don't try to make it out to be.

when you look at what PP does, the vast majority of their work is in preventing unwanted pregnancies and providing pre and post-natal services... while they are a provider of abortion services - the misnomer that it's all they do is outrageous.
