I understand that you need to play them whether they are full strength or not but laughing about an injury is a major douche move.

Unless it's a major douche, like Michael Irvin. :coffee:

That incident was one of the lowest moments in the NFL in the last 20 years, I'd wager. Sure, other stuff like Aaron Hernandez, OJ, et al are up there and the Eagles fans that were there technically are not a part of the NFL, but still....that was pretty low in my book.

It was low, but so was Michael Irvin. He was one of the tauntingest POS's ever to play the game and a lifelong drug abuser. How did you expect the fans to react after he had spent the last ten years essentially mocking them every game he played there? He was 100% pure asshole and got an equal reaction from the fans. In fact, he stated as much in interviews.

Everything gets remembered longer & gets blown up more if it happens in Philly.

2-3 years from now will people remember Houston Texans fans cheering their OWN player getting hurt?

Hell, Michael Irvin was on Philadelphia radio earlier this season when the Eagles-Chiefs game was on NFL Network & said he had no problem with what happened & respected the Philadelphia fans.

Turn the page.... :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

Another entertaining Eagles-Cowboys postgame has commenced by the Philadelphia sports media. Rich Hoffman, Philadelphia Daily News:
The Eagles' quarterback controversy has turned into a quarterback conflagration. This, on the afternoon when Michael Vick could not play because of a pulled hamstring; Nick Foles could not play, period (and left the game at the end of the third quarter with a head injury, besides), and Matt Barkley finished up the game by throwing three interceptions that counted and another that did not (because of a penalty).

Other than that, things went well...

Mariota would probably be a great fit, but I'm not sure if he's NFL bound after this season or not.

Kevin Kolb
Nick Foles
Matt Barkley

And you guys want this front office to keep using high picks for a QB? Fourth time's a charm?

I would still consider 3rd round to be a high pick.

Not sure what you're saying. Eagles turned 3rd round Kolb into a trade for Rogers-Cromartie AND a 2nd round pick. I'd say that worked out pretty damn well. Foles... well I guess yesterday answered that question too. ;)

Obviously, if Foles can be the QB going forward it makes next year's draft that much simpler as you don't need to draft a QB in the first round. Maybe that performance against Dallas was, as Al Morganti said, just a real bad day. With that said, there's no reason to see Vick under center again as long as Foles is healthy - let's see Foles the rest of the way and gauge it from there.
