Yeah, I know, but...it's Carolina, and Newton has been inconsistent before.

Also would work well for the Cardinals, Falcons, Chargers, Browns, Bengals, Vikings, Bills, Lions, and Oilers/Titans.

Leaving out the teams who came along during my lifetime.

Well, on the positive side, we don't have to watch the Eagles next week as they are on a bye. And hopefully they move the Eagles/Cowboys game from the primetime slot in two weeks to back to a normal starting time - just two teams that are simply unwatchable at this point in time.

On the bright side, the Eagles can let Bradford walk at the end of the year since they luckily didn't sign a contract extension with him. Sure, his WR's have just been brutal, especially last night, but the guy is simply a practice field star and nothing more. Looks great throwing in 7v7 drills, but is just average when it comes to on the field. The Eagles would be a little better off with Foles, but they weren't winning any Super Bowls with him either so it makes little difference.

Who knows, maybe if Sean Payton leaves New Orleans maybe Brees becomes a possibility. Basically, the Eagles will always be a QB away until they land someone great out of college (tough where they are drafting at but there are always surprises) or snare an established guy like that. Brees only has a year left and he's a huge cap hit if the Saints keep him without an extension.

They are a pretty damn interesting team to watch play...
but it does seem like teams have had sufficient time now and enough film catalog to get prepared

Remember Andy Reid left the Eagles in a shambles 4-12 and screwed up
and the Chiefs under Andy Reid appear to be headed in the same direction too

I think Chipper will build something pretty solid out of them

Ray Diddy was pining for Kaepernick on Saturday morning on WYSP.

I find Ray to be one of the most collosal boors and downers of all time. He's such a sourpuss about everything, I'm actually shocked he was high on anyone, let alone Kaepernick. I can't imagine being at a party and having to hang with Ray, he would probably go into depth about how the beer we were drinking has a certain number of flaws, spell out each and every one, and then go into some story about how they brew it 50 years ago.

I'd be fine taking a chance with Kaepernick. I never thought much of his passing ability but even a risk like Kaepernick would at least have upside, whereas right now we know what we have and what we have isn't good enough. I'd take Brees first, obviously, but would be willing to try anything that isn't Bradford next year. Roll the dice again and hope we get lucky and find a QB.

The preseason made Bradford look like a world beater, which I guess is a strong indictment against drawing any conclusions from the preseason. Boy did Bradford turn into the proverbial deer in the headlights starting opening week and continuing through week 7 (so far).

Had to roll the dice on something, were never going to win it all with Foles at the helm. Unfortunately got craps.

Baloney. Kaepernick is just a lighter-hued Mike Vick: good runner, but turfs too many passes.

Wow. Look at the 25-32 ranked QBR QBs

32 - Bradford - 29.6
31 - Flacco - 37.7
30 - Luck - 38.3
29 - Foles - 38.5
28 - A. Smith - 40.5
27 - Tannehill - 41.2
26 - Mariotta - 42.0
25 - P. Manning - 46.4

There are some names on that bottom 8 list right there.
