I think I just heard that the O/U for the US/Germany game is 2.5.
If that is true, is there anyone here that would seriously be the "over"?

Ghana midfielders Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng have been suspended indefinitely and sent home from the World Cup

So.... That should help the US

Muntari started and would have been suspended for this game because of 2 yellows picked up in the first 2 games (both times after the 90th minute)

Boateng came in as a sub for our game but started and played 55 minutes in their game.

Seems to be some dissension by the Ghana team. They were threatening boycott unless Ghana paid them $3 million in the past few days which happened. Cameroon players threatened the same before the tournament and they finished 0-3 being outscored 9-1

Swings the game towards Portugal, but hopefully not to the tune of making up a -5

Why not? The US has scored at least one goal in a long streak of games, Germany's strength is their offense, not their defense. It's not hard to see a 1-1 game and then it's not crazy for it to be 2-1. Seems like the O/U is in a great position. Never doubt the oddsmakers.

I had a meeting scheduled from 1-3. It just got rescheduled from 10-12 so that the clients can watch the game.

Questions about the game happening today have arisen. Probably will happen but Recife is going through epic downpours and if the ref comes out an hour before the game and the ball does not roll at all, the game may be postponed

By default, if our game gets cancelled so does the Ghana game.

Under the circumstances of the value of a tie to both teams, it is unlikely that the tie will be 2-2 or 3-3. More likely 0-0 or 1-1, no?

Suarez banned for 9 international games and 4 months from all soccer games (Liverpool has 8-9 Premier League games in that time period at a minimum)

And he'll probably win the scoring title for the EPL again with a quarter less games played

Seriously, what the eff is wrong with that guy? He could have everything going for him if he wasn't such a cannibal. No one likes cannibals. :ohno:

Quite the flooding going on down there. They're saying the stadium is an hour outside town and will likely be <50% full due to travel difficulties.

Seems to me like both teams would actually benefit playing in those conditions, as advancing the ball forward at all would be near impossible. Thus, a war of attrition will result in a tie. Win-win!

This is the 3rd time he's bit someone, right? Does he need to be muzzled while playing?

Same here. I see a 1-1 draw. Both teams want to advance, and even without collusion, I think both teams will agree that the best thing to do is to play it safe. After that, you're on your own.

I saw that done in a movie. It didn't help.

Looks like TWC is a couple of hours behind on their radar feed, but anyway. Doesn't look terribly bad, but I have no idea which way the storms move in Brazil or how fast they're moving. Recife is under a system there, and if the system is somewhat stationary that could be a gametime mess for sure.

I'm going to need a read from bandall or Andy to be sure. They're the board meteorologists.

Make sure you get this approval letter to take off from work to watch the games. I've seen a few already, all signed by the appropriate people.
