NDSU BISON*@Missouri State
Re: NDSU BISON*@Missouri State
Who would they put in their place? Which equal team would have the largest gate? Which teams had the toughest schedule? What 7-4 team has a better claim?
Dear Lord, We come before you and humbly ask you to grant our prayer for a veil of protection to be placed over Donald Trump. May your will be done. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
Re: NDSU BISON*@Missouri State
People keep mentioning NDSUs 4-4 conference record but so what? NDSU isn't getting the MVFC bid, they are going for the at large bid so its the overall record thats important. As you know NDSU has a a stealer over-all record including a Win over a Big 12 charter club and perennial contender Kansas.

Looks like it is time for the Football Conglomerate to get out their snowmobiles or whatever it is they do up on the frozen tundra when winter arrives with no more football games in sight.

NDSU is not good. They are not deserving of a playoff spot. Problem is, nobody else is either. They might make the playoffs but they will lose, and lose early.

Re: NDSU BISON*@Missouri State
Inside sources are telling me right now that out lines #1 & #2 originating from inside the NDSU Football Conglomerate Offices are busy. Reportedly The Commissioner is on line 1 and another high ranking FCS Football Official is on Line #2.

I thought MSU under Head Coach Terry Allen played a tremendous game of football today. Its the type of thing tradition is built on. Its no small thing.

If only we had the faintest hint of an offense....
I certainly wouldn't begrudge the selection committee leaving us out. Defense wins championships and all, but somewhere along the way I think you have to score at least one freakin' time.

Which 7-4 team got shut out by the worst defense in FCS? A defense that held only two teams under 30 points this year.
No, I don't see it, JB. The MVC is awful this year and getting even a second team in the playoffs will be a courtesy; a courtesy which, if extended at all, will be extended to the Leathernecks of Western Illinois. Mind you, I called a Bison win and the score being closer than the game because I figured having playoffs to compete for would overcome lack of talent. I was half right.
You matter. Unless you multiply yourself by c squared. Then you energy.

I think they have a shot at getting in, mainly because most of the teams competing for the last few spots are not very good....but what poll has the Bison in the top 20?JBB wrote:Every team NDSU played was playoff eligible except MSU, SDSU and SIU. Im also not saying NDSU is the best team. I do think they are very capable of beating the best team but certainly aren't considered the best of the best. They are a top 20 team. As such they should get a play off spot.
It wont sell out the Fabulous Fargo Dome like a win over MSU and a home game would have but it will be close. A 19th ranked BISON team has won the national championship in the past.

MSU was a jekyl/hyde team, like several in the MVFC. Won all their home games, lost all their road games. Beat Eastern Kentucky, the same EKU that beat top 10 Jacksonville St.CPAlum wrote:I think they have a shot at getting in, mainly because most of the teams competing for the last few spots are not very good....but what poll has the Bison in the top 20?JBB wrote:Every team NDSU played was playoff eligible except MSU, SDSU and SIU. Just want to thank everyone for supporting NDSU football throughout the season, contributing to JBB's NDSU threads. Look forward to your input on the Robert Morris playoff game thread.

NDSU has been consistently ranked in the top 20 especially the last half of the season, which gave the Herd the momentum needed to get the spot.Gil Dobie wrote:Looks like we get at least 1 more gameGoSE wrote:Looks like it is time for the Football Conglomerate to get out their snowmobiles or whatever it is they do up on the frozen tundra when winter arrives with no more football games in sight.

Its not everyday the BISON get an invitation to the football playoffs. Gosh, that means NDSU is one of the top 20 teams in the country and apparently second best in the MVFC.

The soonest NDSU can lose is sometime next saturday, or are you hedging your bets for the second or third round loss?DJH wrote:NDSU is not good. They are not deserving of a playoff spot. Problem is, nobody else is either. They might make the playoffs but they will lose, and lose early.
Obviously, The NDSU BISON earned their playoff spot by playing better than almost every team in the country. This was the first step in establishing the dynasty. This was year 1, now the second season begins.

This loss rests with the coach. By not starting Mohler he took the wind out of sails of the BISON offense. Mohler had led the team to victory in 2 previous must win situations. He did it in a workman like manner. This was the third game of the run. Once you take him out it has a negative psychological impact on the squad. You cant fix it by switching. The damage is done.
This is well documented in several different areas of the Football Conglomerates vast library of BISON Lore kept deep under the stands at the Fabulous Fargo Dome:
"In a situation of controversy at the QB position it is imperative to let the play of the starter dictate the flow of the position for that game"*

all the rest. This MSU team is not a good team. They have at best a suspect offense and even more suspect defense and yet we couldn't muster anything against them. Laydown the koolaid JBB because this NDSU team's all defense and a showup when you want offense with a horrible Offensive coordinator and even worse head coach.
This year the MO Valley is definetly down (way down) ane all we can do is come up 4th? What does that say about NDSU football under Bohl?
Well, that "not good" team just embarrassed your supposed "playoff" team.
Playoffs my ass. If MSU is not a good team, you guys will get killed by 50 points by a "good" team.

Re: NDSU BISON*@Missouri State
Hey I'm not saying this is a good NDSU team our offense sucks. With that said your shitty team could muster all of 3 points. Whatever happened to your defense this was the first game they showed up for all year. Looks at the numbers Jesus H. are you that blind that you can't see you have a horrible defense. This had to be the best game they played all year but then again it was against our offense which has been nothing but inept all year so hey if you want to hang your hat on that knock yourself out. As far as us in the playoffs I have no green and gold glasses on. If we happen to find enough offense to win the first game that will be as far as we get. Any team with a good defense and any kind of offense will put our team away in no time. We have a great defense but our offense just flat out sucks. So there with that said you beat us 3-0 hey merry christmas and happy new year. I hope you sleep better now.MSUBear42 wrote:Well, that "not good" team just embarrassed your supposed "playoff" team.BisonBacker wrote:
