Mauer comes off the bench in the top of the 9th to drive in the game winning run.....to bad he is terrible and this was just luck.

Verlander gets dinged up again by the White Sux, but gets the win.
Tigers can do no worse than 4-3 (hopefully 5-2) on an important division road trip.

With two long months to go.
I hope the move they made to get Fister and Pauley from Seattle pays off. They gave up some good young talent in the deal. But when you consider that their number 5 starters have one combined win to date, something had to be done.

Chicago stays hot and cuts the lead to 5 games last night. Tigers and Indians have a big three game series in Cleveland starting tonight. The Indians have a good chance to move up from 4 games back, with no Verlander or Scherzer pitching in this series.

Big win last night for Cleveland. Great defense by both teams. Fister must have thought he was back in Seattle with the run support he got.

Going to see former ODU star Justin Verlander pitch tomorrow night in Tampa against the Rays.
For those who will be able to see the game look for me behind the 3rd base dugout toward the 3rd base end.

yeah I realize it might be a little bit difficult to find me but I'll most likely be wearing a blue ODU t-shirt (gotta rep Justin's and I's alma mater
) and probably my charlotte stonecrabs hat...they're the single A affiliate of the Rays. Plus I'm willing to bet half the Trop is gonna be empty anyway like it usually is especially considering its a Monday night game.
